Jones didn't get the chance. On Oct. 12, police say Alston shot her in the back of the head at point-black range in the middle of the street in North Baltimore's Harwood neighborhood.

Police say the shooting was captured on surveillance cameras, as was the couple's movements in the moments leading up to the shooting. Police have tape of the pair walking into a McDonald's on Greenmount Avenue, ordering food and sitting down. They then walked to Barclay and E. 27th St., where police say Alston is seen talking to friends.

Jones and Alston continue walking, to Guilford Avenue and E. 26th St., where police say they can be seen talking for several minutes before Alston pulls out a handgun and shoots her in the back of the head.

No way, there are thousands of smart inmates and not all are there on violent offenses. Most of them share the same views on rapists or any violent crime done to children. I was not trying to tell a joke; I'm making an assumption based on things I have read. If you are suggesting I don't directly know what I'm talking about, you are correct, I have never been in prison or known a prisoner. It is probably a generalization I should not make. It is pretty well established though that there is a gang culture in prisons, and acts which seem to us like horrible crimes are sometimes thought highly of and even encouraged as a rite of initiation by gangs. I apologize if I am speaking as if I have experience I do not, but I'm not just making this stuff up.

I know a good friend who is a product vendor for various institutions in the state and out of state. He has met many inmates, violent and non violent offenders(white collar crimes, war on drug offenses, fraud, government bribery, embezzlement etc). Inmates receive subscriptions to the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Baltimore Sun daily and weekly. Most of the older adult prison population who are serving hard time has had time to reflect on their crime and are complete different individuals now than when they first entered the system. It's not odd that you and a prison inmate of 10 years who was sentenced for racketeering could share the same views on rape, heinous crimes.

In most adult facilities unless for survival purposes, prison is not all gang life. In fact, gang life is not even 20% of prison activity behind the walls. You have to think about the workforce inside the facility ie; plumbing, electrician, mail and food and cleaning jobs, religion studies and work out sessions that keep most of these inmates occupied for 8 hours plus every day. Shooting a female in this heinous act would not garner him "respect" on a inner city block let alone garner him respect in a correctional facility.

He's basically retired at age 19 and will get a minimum of $30.00 worth of Lil Debbies, Slim Jims ect for the rest of his miserable life at taxpayer expense. He will also get better medical and dental than many hard working productive citizens.... in short KILL the Lil SOB now for the good of society.
