Sorry, I don't see the outrage in this story. The campaign is over, the expense accounts stop. Seems like responsible stewardship of the resources with which people are entrusted to me. Our government could use people and policies like that to protect what we the people provide to them. Perhaps staff should have been made aware specifically of the policy, but under the circumstances it's not surprising that would have been overlooked.
