Default Companies plan massive layoffs as Obamacare becomes reality

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/...-obamacare-be/

    "Stryker

One of the biggest medical device manufacturers in the world, Stryker will close their facility in Orchard Park, New York, eliminating 96 jobs in December. Worse, they plan on countering the medical device tax in Obamacare by slashing 5% of their global workforce - an estimated 1,170 positions.

    Boston Scientific

In October of 2009, Boston Scientific CEO Ray Elliott, warned that proposed taxes in the health care reform bill could "lead to significant job losses" for his company. Nearly two years later, Elliott announced that the company would be cutting anywhere between 1,200 and 1,400 jobs, while simultaneously shifting investments and workers overseas - to China."

Excellent news. All of the internationalist and non-jingoistic Libbies, according to Omar's 'political spectrum' would agree.

I wonder if Obama decided to repeal Obamacare, would those jobs come back? Something tells me no.

Obamacare = the new scapegoat for layoffs

The right has nothing left. They are beat and now will charge Obama for all that goes wrong but give him no credit for the good he does. Kind of like Kissing a bulls lips.

Increase the cost of uppity so-called labor, a mere cost of production, and watch that production shift to a better climate. Add to that the fiscal tax rapine on certain products and increase it even more.

Every time a cry-baby conservative wimps out and closes down, an opportunity is created for more progressive-minded entrepreneurs.

    Their loss = our gain.

I had more in mind something on the order of Gonzo's Gonzo Weed Cannabis Cigarettes....

I'm sure one of those cancer stick companies is willing to fork over a little market share for the good of the country.

Strick with the medical devices. I don't think RJR or PM is going to tolerate you dancing on their turf.

That could certainly work but one suspects that the Feds would shortly be at the door to shut things down.

The Obama fiscal rape roomers just can't seem to understand why people (including corporate persons) won't lay still for fiscal rapine that the former are trying impose.

For years the nation has cried for healthcare reform in terms of taking care of the outrageous costs of healthcare. The healthcare bill that was passed does nothing to address that.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Hobby Lobby followed suit after Hostess shutting down.

    Hobby Lobby Next In Line?

Hobby Lobby is the largest business to file a lawsuit against the mandate.
The company calls itself a "biblically founded business" and is closed on Sundays. Founded in 1972, the company now operates more than 500 stores in 41 states and employs more than 13,000 full-time employees who are eligible for health insurance coverage.”

Go ahead, Mr. Green, shut it down, sell the company to heathens. So the left can claim one more Obamacare victory.
