Thankfully, I got the first of the series out in a timely manner. Returning to the series is on the docket for the weekend (along with some note taking on my very new copy of Mathematical Methods in Counterterrorism). My paper on the role/responsibility v. organizational title designation of a certain group ran into the expected hail of political gunfire.

Poloticions in the business don't like to be wrong, you should know that by now. Especially when they have no idea of what they are looking at in the first place.

I was hoping for some luck in getting by the 'censors' but such luck was not on my side. One can readily discern an 'ax to grind' review when the review has zero commentary on the methods, results or conclusions (one would not be surprised if the submission itself landed one on a 'list'). That specific paper will be one to pick up, again, when I have a bit more time to program in a more comprehensive deconstructive methodology (doing the data reduction by hand was far to laborious).

Your analysis is far too thorough, detailed and forward looking for them not to finally give in, as long as you are fortunate enough to have somebody review it that fully understands the methods used. Keep plugging away, you don't need it to put groceries on the table so time is on your side.

Too many research projects, my friend, and too little time. It is both a boon and a curse to perform the work without financial remuneration. The curse is the time spent away from billable work while the boons are having the financial freedom to work on topics of interest (unfortunately and fortunately within a wide scope), the ability to get most of the work published and (most importantly) the enjoyment that comes from the intellectual challenge (when met).

The methodology of the paper in question was/is novel and the learning curve for the implementation of the underlying methodology was steep. One does still retain the option of being able to create one's own 'institution' for self-publishing.

It has now turned into an FBI Investigation of Petraeus and his female Biographer concerning any classified information she may have got access to from the Generals Computer! The plot thickens.

Nah, when Fox gets a chance to spin this, it's gonna be all about Obama "cleaning house" to cover his tracks in Libya.

This should be fun... I love a good conspiracy theory.

He's retired from service so he serves CIA as a civilian. He's under no legal pressure to resign. Yes, the biotch was Benghazi. Sad end for a competent man.

Another conspiracy!!! What's that old line from Seinfeld---no hugging, no learning? Yes the Republicans should definitely push this idea! You know, cash in on their credibility.

No. That never made much sense to me. Those who serve Iraq are captive to it. He was a competent man who made the best of a futile mission. I don't know whether he deserves blame or not. His past service certainly deserves to be entered into evidence though. I don't doubt for a nanosecond this is political and about Benghazi. People need to understand that sometimes chit just happens. That's no excuse to cashier a competent man in an incompetent age.

Quite sad. I have a picture of him with my son in Iraq. I hope his family survives all the scrutiny.

Yes it is sad and it's obviously something Bobo was hiding until AFTER the election. Hats off you your son.

One week before he has to testify in congress over the Benghazi terror attack he resigns? HMMMMMM something smells in DC.
