Not meaning to treat General Petraeus unfairly, I just heard on one of the networks that it is just the female biographer that is being investigated by the FBI not both of them.

It certainly takes two, to Tango, but I would think in the FBI's eyes, the lady is the easier place to start the investigation when the other Choice is the Director of the CIA!

This should be fun... I love a good conspiracy theory.
Fox News are already reporting that General Petraeus will not testify on Benghazi next week. If true I wonder how lawmakers will react to that?

They can subpoena him. And should. This whole thing is getting curiouser and curiouser. Just on news: this woman was under investigation by FBI and that's how they discovered the affair. How Mata Hari! (sp?)

I'm not sure I believe it, but if he does not testify in the closed door session then I would consider it more than 'convenient" or fishy. I would think we would see subpoenas being issued and another fight with the White House if they tried to pull Executive Privilege again. Not that I believe they actually would when the death of an Ambassador is involved.

This whole situation smells to me and I think it is Langley the smell is coming from and not State.

I heard that she wrote a very flattering and positive biography on General Petraeus and it was the obvious depth of her access bordering on a possible violation of the Official Secrets Act and access to classified material for her book that peeked the interest of the FBI.

It's spelled "piqued", [personal attack removed].

And the book was titled All In. How quaint.

Through the nonlinear sum of their parts, the whole is greater than merely the colloquial sum. You, my friend, would be a far better choice for either than whomever the regime picks for either.

Interesting timing, though... 3 days after the election and all. I don't suppose he was told to keep this under his hat until now?
The FBI and the CIA combine to hold the info back until after the election.

I do not believe for an instant that the president was not informed before the election.
    My children are my legacy.

So what? do you think that the knowledge that the Director of the CIA was boinking his Biographer would have changed anybodies vote?

................BTW Mom, you do know that Petraeus is a Republican, right? And that he was on Romney's short list for a VP running mate, right? And that Petraeus had considered running for President himself as a Republican, right?

Doubt those party lines ran very deep, I wouldn't serve under Bobo in ANY capacity. Seems Generals are underneath it all not loyal, look at Benedict Powell. Now that's one somebi*ch that ought to get run over by a metrobus.

Him and that whale Chris Christie. Hope Christie is joining the Democrat Party because he's finished as a Republican.
