Well, they are well within their 1st Amendment rights to petition their government for redress. And the government is well within its rights to deny that request

You mean their oil soaked beaches? Yeah for your health you should avoid them. But I don't see a big rush for people to visit Mississippi and Alabama. Advertise all they want but I doubt too many northerners are heading down there.
