    Default Zibikowski, Landry, and Parmele?

I happened to catch these guys the other night in the Colt-Jaguars game and had pretty much forgotten about them. Is the Parmele the same one that was here? Does anyone know how these guys are doing? I haven't heard really a peep about how any of the ex-Ravens are doing which is especially surprising since the Ravens are struggling so much this year and so short on talent. Both Zibikowski and Landry were once highly regarded and about two years ago Zibi came into camp heralded by an extremely flattering article by I think it was Ken Murray that described the tremendous strides he'd made in his off season training. When they left, these guys were disposed of with not a care.

But how are Grubbs and Jarret Johnson and Corey Redding doing? There's been a lot of talk about what a loss these guys have been , but not a peep bout how they're actually doing on their new teams. Aren't we missing something here?

Look up their stats for the year. Unless they have career games, you're probably not going to hear anything about them. Ben Grubbs is a stud and doing his job quietly at LG, JJ has been reliable and effective as expected. Most of these guys if you don't hear their name they're doing their job. I know Haruki Nakumara got beat big twice against Julio Jones when panthers were seemingly going to win vs. ATL. And "disposed of with not a care"? I'm sure a lot in the organization cared about losing skilled and experienced players. You just can't pay em all.

And Jalen Parmele has 62 career rushing yards. Not even worth mentioning.

Spot-on correct. We may have kept some of the wrong people this time around. Cory Redding and JJ losses and Grubbs departures are really hurting.

Let's hope we have the balls to let some other guys walk who don't command big bucks. That means Ray is done after next year (we have to do it) and Ed too. Also need to look very carefully at the $ they commit to Flacco. We can get a lot more mileage out of spending that money on our line and getting a halfway competent FA in here.

Default Can't See Money as the Real Reason

How much was Cary Williams offered? The actual figure escapes me at the moment, but it was absurd, even then before he played out this season so poorly. It seems the money figures the public gets are play money and if it is real, they seem to throw it around like it is play money.

Did Grubbs really say that it wasn't about the money?

I see that Zibikowski is starting for the Colts, strong safety and making $700,000, a tip for Cary Williams. Also Pagano wanted him and went out and got him. I think he has 0 interceptions, Cary Williams 3, I think.

Johnson's tackles per game are pretty much at a career low, 1 sack, no passed defended... he must be playing terrible.

Johnson is only playing the first two downs while if I recall he played all the snaps here, correct me if I am wrong. Again I feel Upshaw is handling the edge just fine, especially in the last few games....keep an eye on the edge and see if what I say is true. Our biggest loss is Redding cause others have not only stepped up but have fallen backwards, Cody I am talking to you!
