The TEA party hurt itself when they started focusing on social issues and became more openly xenophobic. All the controversies over Muslims, immigrants, and social issues distracted from their argument about fiscal responsibility.

As far as social issues go, the US is becoming more progressive not less. So fighting a war on social issues is a futile one.

The country is also becoming more diverse. Whites are now the minority among children born since 2011. The TEA party and republican party will contribute their own irrelevance if they follow the lead of the white nationalist parties in Europe.

Yes. Sadly in those days moderates had power and republicans could be liberal on social issues.
We have a black president time to move on beyond race.

Time to get the certifiable tea-baggers out of congress before they ruin America.

Nope, just means that you're part tea bagger.

Personally I find weed just too insignificant of an issue to even care much about that. I did argue against weed legalization but I have said that it wasn't very important to me.

    No, you don't.

You've argued against legalization quite a bit on this very board.

If you didn't care, you'd have let it drop.

If someone says something I disagree with, I'm going to respond. Don't put words in my mouth.

    I didn't.

I merely remarked that you and the tea baggers agreed on pot.

You did. I still have no idea what point you're making. If you think I should support the Tea Party because of an issue I barely even care about, I don't know what to tell you.
