It is only natural that the media makes a big deal out of every injury that any of them are involved in. Roethlisberger's style of play is such that he is more prone to injury than the rest. Imagine the headlines if Brady or Manning had the same issues. It just last year that on a weekly basis we heard about every little movement Peyton Manning could make for an entire season. If he could toss a tissue into the trash it was a big deal. It's a fine line between embellishment of injuries vs. being a professional and a tough player and playing through injury. If you like the guy, he's a tough guy playing through pain. If you don't like him, he's just a drama queen hamming it up for the cameras. Look at Ed Reed. How many times has he limped off to the sidelines after attempting to make a tackle and getting dragged for 10 yards? Was he hurt, or was his pride hurt? Depends on whether you like him or not. Personally, I believe them both. Both Reed and Roethlisberger are competitive players who probably do play through a lot of pain. But on all of these matters I will defer to the medical teams. If they can't clear a guy to play, then I figure his injuries are legitimate.
