Howard County Taco Bell Manager Fights For His Life After Shooting

COLUMBIA, Md. (WJZ)—The manager of a Howard County Taco Bell struggles to stay alive after a shooting outside his restaurant early Sunday morning...

...“It’s too scary over here. I almost never come over here. I stay over in Ellicott City,” said Tom Rainville.

Though Howard County’s crime rate remains low, this latest unsolved attack has some questioning their safety....

    What's going on in Columbia?

"Diversity" and a large number of Section-8's thanks to demands by the governor. Nuff said.

What make you think about Section-8. Columbia has had section-8 since 1968. Nuff said.Diversity includes you too, which is a major problem.

Section 8 housing in Columbia Maryland

In all parts of Columbia, not just in one section.

I basically live around the corner from this Taco Bell. I am unaware of any section 8 housing in the vicinity.

Sure. Violent crime an everyday occurrence in middle class and rich white neighborhoods.
Sure. Never get tired of making excuses for thugs as long as they are the same race as you.

Seriously, as far as I'm aware, the closest section 8 housing is a mile or so away, and that place is pretty nice (as it was recently demolished and rebuilt). That Taco Bell is on the edge of Columbia (right off of Route 32), so it very easily could have been someone from out of town.

I'm not saying it wasn't a Columbia resident, but there's no evidence that points to it being a section 8 issue. If it happened at the Oakland Mills Village Center, then I would be in agreement (most likely).

I just had to laugh at that Ellicott City resident...."It's too scary over there..."

    Columbia, "scary"?

Not where I would want to live (for other reasons), but good God, man, get a grip! .

Yeah, seriously. I DO live in Columbia, and there's nothing scary about it. I mean, there's certain places where I wouldn't want my wife walking around alone late at night (such as the Oakland Mills Village Center), but honestly, it's still probably as safe or safer than many of the places I used to hang around in PG County when I was in HS and college.

I saw the interview with this Ellicott City resident, and I started laughing after I heard his comment. It wasn't taken out of context, either...he was genuinely "scared".

What a whoos...it was freekin broad daylight, in a suburban shopping area. Can't imagine how this guy manages his day to day life...and probabay NEVER goes to the "big city".

More likely to die from one of those Taco Bell burrito's, than he does getting shot in Columbia. But whatever?

If it was two white guys hanging out by a dumpster shooting a taco bell manager as soon as he walked outside the police would have released that info.
The.media and police have made an effort to suppress the race of black suspects since blacks commit such a large disproportionate amount of violent crimes
It's a shame the libs in charge of cities with large minority populations can't figure out how to stop the violence, section 8ing them out to the counties has only spead out the violence and ruined more neighborhoods

BS. Check your facts illiterate. Howard County, Columbia in particular, never had the crime it has today before the Section-8s began moving in five years ago. Proof is in the crime stats. Look it up.

This sounds really odd, and it wouldn't surprise me if the people that shot the manager knew him pretty well or mistook him for someone else.

The idea of Columbia being "scary" is hilarious. It's even funnier how everybody thinks I live in a war zone because I moved to Glen Burnie a little while back.

The victim is still unconscious but there is additional information:

According to a news release, Graham was shot multiple times in the torso around 12:50 a.m. on Sunday after he and another employee, who was not identified, walked out of the restaurant, located in the 7100 block of Minstrel Way, to confront a suspicious person.

As Graham walked toward the area where the suspicious person was last seen, police said two men wearing masks appeared and one fired a gun at Graham.
