Cutting taxes is what got us in the trouble to begin with. Cutting taxes didn't give anyone any more real money. House prices went up because everyone had more money in their check. It caused the stupid real estate speculation that caused the housing crisis.

All the borrowing needed to pay for the tax cut caused the dollar to be worth less so you pay more for gasoline and food.

all the people so against tax increases do not know the first thing about economics. Unless you fix the defecit prices are going to keep increasing dramatically. So you are actually going to have less real money than if you didn't raise taxes.

Whether or not the tax cuts were a good idea is one thing, but that sure as hell didn't get us into this mess. But thanks for the economic wisdom you have imparted onto us unwashed.

It is an utterly stupid idea and counterproductive to the Fed's efforts to revive the real estate market. As an across the board removal, it simply won't fly.
