I think it is safe to say that Obama is putting reactionary left class warfare ideology ahead of sane economic policy.

Revenue is not the problem. The rich couldn't possibly pay for the unmitigated greed that progressive policy represents. So if he wants a recession to prove his incompetence then so be it. Just don't anyone pretend he is being smart or reasonable anything more than a hard core reactionary.

These responses are typical of why nothing has been done on our budget crisis. The President has not said a word about resisting spending cuts, and yet we hear the same tired catch phrases from the right -- and discussions have barely begun.

The spending cuts have already been agreed upon by both parties. Republicans want to stop the Defense spending cuts that happen at the end of the year.

The republicans also want to stop the automatic tax increases.
