Default Carroll County English language ordinance critical

    http://www.baltimoresun.com/explore/...,3621543.story

I am glad that Carroll County is moving forward with this. I've heard non-Carroll resients are also allowed to attend this meeting and express their opinions. With the disappointing failure of statewide voters to stand up to Montgomery County and HOward COunty's liberal elites and defeat the Dream Act, it is now prudent for the remaining counties to take preemptive actions against increased illegal immigration and against the effects of the Dream Act which will fall heavily on community colleges and local resources. I think more counties need to follow Carroll, Frederick, and Queen Anne's in passing English laws, and also other laws against illegal aliens. I wish more counties would give police the right to report illegal aliens to federal authorities and to punish people who employ, assist, or rent to illegals.

Carroll County is to be commended for its standing up to illegal immigration and also to Planmaryland and transit-oriented development. Carroll County is truly the last paradise left between the Bay Bridge and Sideling Hill. It is one of the few slices of the real America left in Central Maryland. I hope the counties of the Eastern Shore and Western Maryland also step up local efforst to combat illegal immigration and to prevent illegal immigration.

Is there talk of the Carroll County meetings being changed to Korean? Where is this coming from?

Speaking of which, why does bilingual education and bilungual services also mean services in Spanish, and not the Korean language while your at it? If an illegal wants translations they can have their Dreamer kid or their anchor baby translate for them!

Though they actually will provide Spanish language translators for the illegal aliens who wish to speak there. I hope there will be an ICE detachment camped in a separate room in the building with audio access listening in when people admit to being illegal.

Carroll County is extremely relevant and lots of people pay attention to what goes on there.

O'Malley cares enough about Carroll County to pass laws targeting it like PlanMaryland and all the septic tank bans. I guess to you, Carroll County, Harford County, Cecil County, the Eastern Shore, Western Maryland, and Southern Maryland all ddon't really matter? I'd like to see how you think of St. Mary's County or Garrett.

Carroll County contributes more to the state than Baltimore City, which only takes from the state and bankrupts our transportation and education funds (though the schools are still some of the worst in the entire country and the roads are the worst still) and whose crime brings down the state in national safety rankings despite all the money going to police, prisons, rehab etc etc etc. PG County is not much better. They along with Baltimore City bring down Maryland's stats and are a drain on our economy. I think Baltimore City and PGC are the most responsible for the tax hike since their poverty and failure goe against the Democrats liberal sensibilities so they raise taxes to throw at these two areas. There never seems to be enough money sent to Baltimore City public schools. They will always get second stringers like The Teacher when real good teachers take competitive positions like in Carroll County or Harford County. I know more than one person with an education degree and they rather wait for a job opening in the suburbs or in a rural area than teach in Baltimore City. And honestly if people like The Mr. Teacher are a good representation of the city's educator I'm not surprised they are in the sorry state they in now.

At least with the casinos they can contribute something soon though they will still be a net drain.

Don't be sad that no one gives a crap about Carroll County. I imagine its a lot like living in Nebraska... Nice places to see, nice people... But no one really cares that you are there and you never do anything that's culturally relevant. I'm sure it's a nice place to live.

I bought my dog in Westminster, so you have that going for you, I guess.

And I guess Carroll, Frederick, and the Shore are not in the news that much cause they don't have the kind of shootings, robberies, drug busts, carjackings, mayoral corruption, and water main breaks (nice infrastructre y'all got eh) that the City has.

I don't know. My cousin was shot in the face with shotgun by her ex-husband, while she was holding their 2 year old child... Odd, that murder didn't make the news around here. It happened on the Eastern Shore too. I guess that only happens in the city...

LOL, no... I'm pretty damn white, although my wife is Korean. Does that bother you?

My name is a reference to the fact that I'm always learning, always a beginner, because I'm always moving on to new interests. It was also a reference to my martial arts background. I can see how you'd get confused about that...

Is your name a reference to the fact that you like to stuff your face with fat greasy fried onions (mmmm, mmmmm they are tasty, aren't they!?) Or maybe you are a dishwasher at Outback? Oh... Yes! An illegal stole your job washing dishes at Outback! It all makes sense now!

    Hypocrites.

"No one cares about Carroll County" is their common cry, yet they castigated Mitt Romney for not caring about "47%."

    Too easy.

Who is "they," as I've never complained about Romney not caring about anything. If you can find a link to prove otherwise, I'll make you pancakes. Otherwise, stfu.

    Too easy.

What does Romney alienating half the population of the country have to remotely do with one small rural sparsley populated county in Maryland?

Neither have I. I didn't vote for him or the president, but the 47% comment wasn't one of my complaints. Politicians say dumb shiite all the time.
