After all, it’s the same bunch that held the Carroll County Global Warming Denier’s Lovefest in Pikesville. County lines be damned!! They’ll go anywhere – and welcome anyone – that supports their bizarre agenda, which has very little to do with the needs and desires of Carroll County residents.

It’s really more evidence of the complete disarray of the MDGOP that no adult in charge has pulled this crew aside and read to them from the new playbook. You know, the one that says it’s not a good idea for Republicans to insult whole groups of people.

Especially, in this case, for a toothless resolution – one that makes no change in law and will not make a whit of difference in the lives of those who live in CC.
I think that the vast majority of Carroll County residents prefer to not have illegals living in their community. I think the majority of them also want to preserve the rural character of Carroll County and resist transit-oriented development and PlanMaryland which si what that Pikesville meeting was about. Carroll does not have a convention center that big. I think all counties should fight against PlanMaryland as it reduces the qualify of life in our suburban areas by making them denser (I live in Baltimore County and am adamantly opposed to the proposed development in Fort Howard adn the traffic and noise that will bring, and also am opposed to the transit-oriented site in Owings Mills) and hurts rural economies by preventing growth there. Marylland in general, even our rural towns like Hagerstown and Salisbury, are very dense compared to areas in neighboring states. Like compare Hagerstown and Cumberland with Winchester, VA or Charles Town, WV or Martinsburg WV!! Not to mention similar sized cities in southern Virginia, North Carolina, or South Carolina. Density reduces the quality of life, just as illegal immigration does. I am glad Carroll County's local government is fighting against both illegal immigration and high density development.

Oh yes and I know plenty people from Carroll who say its good that you hve to afford a car to live there. That keeps certain unwanted elements out. Including many illegal aliens I presume. Thoguh I guess the illegals CAN fit 10 in a car......

I didn't say Abdur Raheem was definitely an immigrant, I wrote about how assimilation and integration into American culture of the Muslim population is important. A name with a name like Shamsiddin Abdur Raheem certainly is a man of Islam.
How American is your name (or the names of your parents)? You titled your thread "Muslims unchanged upon arrival in America." How do you know when Abdur-Raheem or his parents "arrived" in America. For all we know, his family has been here longer than yours.

I think Barack Obama was named Barack but used the nickname Barry when he was younger. What's the big deal?

Are you one of those folks questioning the Germanness of Kai Ming Au?

I don't think the English laws and illegal immmigration are separate, just like I disagree with people who say the Dream Act is not about illegal immigration which is it. BOth are about illegal aliens feelign entitlted and demanding more and more services and benefits paid for by American taxpayers and about them sticking it to the American people. In this particular age, most of the people who do not speak English are illegal aliens, and most illegal aliens in America do not speak English. It sends a message that illegal aliens are not welcome here despite the statewide law passed by the liberal voters of Montgomery County and PG County and HOward County. And don't bring other states into this. Texas and Kansas are the only conservative states with these laws, and both have large numbers of illegal aliens and Kansas has a large corporate agriculture business that hires illegals much as Perdue chicken does. They have affected legislation most likely, and both states have racially motivated Hispanic voting blocs who vote based on racial interests instead of overall American interests.
So, you don't mind "marque el dos" for legal immigrants, right?

    I am considering this.

Please be sure, oh please, to put up a link to any YouTubes that exist.

BTW, what do you think the "Official English" definition of 'gay' would be ?

    Mark your calendars

The Board of County Commissioners has rescheduled its public hearing on the proposal to designate English as the official language of Carroll County to Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. in the County Office Building, 225 North Center St., Westminster.

The hearing had been scheduled for late October, but was postponed because of Hurricane Sandy.

BO's sock puppet... I really think you two are the same poor person suffering from some twisted version of dissociative identity disorder. Real Talk: I hope you get some help.
