DK is just a bunch of folks writing their opinions... not unlike here.

Unlike here, DK is a dictatorship. Markos rules. If you don't like it, don't click it.

That being said, the beauty (or ugliness, as is your want) of DK is that it is citizen written. No professionals here, just plain folks, with all our warts and ideosyncrisies.

I suspect that is what bugs Semi the most. Having a tenuous grip on reality on a good day, he just can't handle the messiness and inconsistancy of such a forum. Anything not conforming to his own peculiar brand of truth instantly becomes a "lie". Any premature conclusion becomes a conspiracy.

Comparing the relatively peaceful world of DK to the flagrant war mongering and intentional lying of FAUX is disingenuous at best, stupid at worst.

But it's an opinion forum here. As I said; if you don't like it, don't click it.
I will continue to read and post from it because of the reasons I've already given, and perhaps a little because it bugs "the right" so.

Fox lies = vast right wing conspiracy.
DK lies = it is just an opinion, don't like it, don't click it.

My what a double standard you have.

I guess its okay if a republican does it. Some reactionary left winger does it and the head meets the sand. The oligarchy must be pleased with you.

Oh, and there is no peculiar brand of the truth. Polylogism is bunk.

It's pretty simple, I'd say, that modern mass media is more interested in making money and maintaining proximity to power than actually informing people. That being said, I believe there's a spectrum, with this statement being more true for some outlets and less for others. It just so happens that it tends to be more true for the bigger "conservative" outlets than it does for the bigger "liberal" outlets.

Granted I really hate to even use the terms liberal and conservative when discussing this, since better adjectives would invoke mixes of loyalties to corporate and parochial interests that are similar, but not always the same.
