One of the things that has been lost during all this is that there were many of us who said years ago that a deep recession is exactly the wrong time to enact spending cuts. Europe's recent economic travails were predicted and avoidable.

But how do we continue to spend $1.25 trillion more than we collect in revenue? The $75 billion that Obama wants to confiscate from the productive doesn't scratch the surface. And we haven't even started spending for Obamacare.

Class warfare won't fix this.
