exactly. Like he's very likable as a pro quarterback. Blue collar guy with a cannon arm and can extend plays with his feet. Very entertaining to watch. I just hate the guy cuz he plays for the Steelers but it's an obligatory hatred not the kind where i actually wish him physical harm

I am in the same camp with you. Obligatory indeed.

And if I were to ever meet him (not that it is ever likely) in person I would not spit in his face or anything. I would be respectful. Still, to say I am not a fan of his would be understated.

I believe he made poor choices in life and is damn lucky that he had an NFL owner that had his back. The Rooneys have been know to help their good players when they do bad things. I hope his marriage has helped him mature and become a good man and realizes how fortunate he really is.

Are there any quotes from someone besides Roethlisberger on the seriousness of this injury? Sounds like another over dramatized Roethlisberger self diagnosis to me.

Of course you saw right through things. Here is some reading to add to your expertise. A physician's explanation.

Where in your link does it provide a source other than Roethlisberger? Anyone can say they have an injury like the one described in this link.

Yeah, I'm sure Ben had that jargon and description rehearsed. He was quoting his physician to reporters.

I'm sure you are expecting him to dance out of the tunnel through smoke on Sunday.

This drama stuff gets sillier and sillier.

Kind of like when he lied to the media about playing with two broken toes?

My sources say he's going to parachute in to the stadium during pre-game introductions... without a parachute...

Yep. In '07 I don't remember much media focus on the Ravens loss of McAlister, Rolle, Pryce, Heap, and McNair for large portions of the season. While they were getting embarrassed on national TV by guys like Peyton and Ben, there was barely a mention of the key players that the Ravens didn't have on the field. It all ultimately cost Brian Billick his job, as a shallow roster was exposed. And while the focus Sunday night will be on Ben's absence, and maybe Polamalu and/or Brown... I'm sure not nearly as much mention will be made of the Ravens missing Lardarius Webb or Ray Lewis, or Ngata's playing with a bad knee, or Reed's bad shoulder (until he lets a guy get away with a bad tackle), or Suggs playing so soon after a torn achilles. Just my gut feeling...

This injury is obviously an elaborate ruse to toy with your emotions.

Watching coverage this week from a lot of sources points to the injury situations being discussed in depth.

Ben headlines it of course as he is the key figure.

Not sure why it is such an emotional issue here.

The fake injury crazies make the fan base look crazy.

Gee. I dislike the Steelers from the football fun aspect but:

    1. Lay off the rapist crap. That's what he did IN THE PAST! It's not who he is. This is just as old as those that still call Ray a murderer. Only hypocrites keep crap like this going.

    2. This is about a man's life. Football is a game, not life. I pray for Ben's healing and that he turns to God for wisdom and guidance.

Okay whatever. I guess it's just a coincidence that the king of exaggerating injuries is saying he is one hit away from death.

No, it is a medical opinion that was also expressed when Amendola had a similar injury.

    H.L. Menken had a point.

And when Leftwich starts and plays Sunday the conspiracy (will not call them theorists) whackos will fulfill Barnum's view.

Nobody believes he is going to play this Sunday. I do believe that he is exaggerating the extent to which he is injured.
