You're right - the Red Sox will make the playoffs in 2013 while the O's fall back to 84-78. There's NO doubt about it.

Gomes is a good player to have on a good team. Nice DH or off the bench against a lefty and maybe start in the field once in a while. Brings an attitude as well, however, you know things are strange when Gomes gets $10 million. If $5 million a year is the benchmark for players like Gomes........
