Nor do I by hook or crook.....auctions have done me VERY well and they're fun.I hate shopping period outside of grocery or gun shows. These people that "camp" for days in front of a store...... are they crazy?
What are they saving 50 - 200 dollars? It just isn't worth it to me, besides I drink a pot of coffee plus a day so I just GOTTA go.

I drove past a Walmart last night around 830PM and the parking lot, which on any normal day is always 50% empty, was completely full. The stoplight at the Walmart exit was bumper-to-bumper with cars leaving the lot, and just as many entering. They were parked at the stores next door, at the restaurants across the streets, and at the grocery store and were walking back to the Walmart, I've never seen so many pedestrians parading down the road back to the Walmart.
In other words - colossal left-wing anti-capitalist protest failure, to the max.
This is exactly what's happening. It's too bad WalMart is not alone in this practice.
Here's an interesting quote from Robert Reich with regard to the trade off for consumers to ensure their neighbors are treated with a little dignity:
(there's a link to the study in the article)But if retail workers got a raise, would consumers have to pay higher prices to make up for it? A new study by the think tank Demos reports that raising the salary of all full-time workers at large retailers to $25,000 per year would lift more than 700,000 people out of poverty, at a cost of only a 1 percent price increase for customers.
Consumption is down because of the attacks on the private sector by the democrats. Examples include the ban on offshore oil drilling, EPA interference with business, the taxes and compliance costs of Obamacare, etc.
Food stamp usage is high because the federal government has deliberately expanded the program while attacking private business.

This Department of Agriculture pamphlet suggests "5 Fresh Ideas" on how to get people to sign up for food stamps. In this instance, they are targeting seniors: Throw a Great Party. Host social events where people mix and mingle. Make it fun by having activities, games, food, and entertainment, and provide information about SNAP. Putting SNAP information in a game format like BINGO, crossword puzzles, or even a "true/false" quiz is fun and helps get your message across in a memorable way. (H/T: Weasel Zippers) Recall that the federal government is also spending millions on advertising spots and PSA's to beat the bushes for dependents. It seems immoral to advocate for dependency on government. But that is the state of government in the early 2000's and will probably continue regardless of who is president..... (Read Full Article)

Gibbering, tittering, frothing and raging unionistas of so-called 'labor' can only squeal in dismay as Walmart reports record Black Friday sales.
Despite union efforts to target retailers like Walmart, businesses are reporting record Black Friday traffic – the biggest sign yet that the unions are out of touch with the American people. Starting at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving, Walmart put its products on Black Friday sale, sparking a run to the stores and earning the stores record sales.
They’ve already sold nearly 2 million towels, 1.3 million televisions, and 250,000 bicycles. According to Walmart Chief Executive Bill Simon, over 1.3 million Walmart staffers are on duty. There have been picket lines around the country, but the movement has been far less effective than expected.
[QUOTE=gonzoliberal;8202974]As a taxpayer, are you OK with these underpaid workers requiring food stamps to get by?
Holy crap, you sound like my ex. Please tell me that you're not her.
We shouldn't.
Next question... ?
Oh, perhaps you meant "why should our government compete against the Chinese when it comes to uneducated, monkey labor". ?
