This morning, at 10 AM local time, Dallas Walmart store workers are headed back to the picket line.

... Theirs is the latest in a string of strikes that hit a California warehouse Wednesday and Seattle stores on Thursday. There’s more where that came from: On a Thursday call with reporters, union-backed Walmart worker groups said to expect a thousand strikes or demonstrations spread over nine days, culminating in an unprecedented array of “Black Friday” disruptions. That news follows a major legal settlement by a Walmart contractor that organizers credited to a 2011 sit-in at Hershey’s Chocolate.
Dallas striker Colby Harris emphasized that despite issues with low pay and repeated retaliation, he’s committed to remaining a Walmart worker. “If you leave this job, you’re going to face retaliation in some form somewhere else…” he said last night. “If you change Walmart, and you change corporate America, it can really better a lot of people’s lives.”
Harris told The Nation that the main purpose of today’s picketing outside his Dallas store is to send a message to the workers inside: that “you can speak up and not get punished.” What if Walmart retaliates? “We’ll just take more actions…” said Harris. “It will not be accepted or tolerated.” He said that going on strike last month heightened his confidence: “I’m not as nervous to take actions now. I know I’ve done it before…I can do it again.”

Walmart closed on Black Friday?
Will the action spread to other states?
What is your position on Walmart's chronic underpayment of staff resulting in increased food stamp roles?
You need to place the blame for the increased food stamp roles at the feet of the obama administration. They are encouraging people to just give up and get on welfare/food stamps. Heck, they are even advertising in foreign countries about the ease of getting on the gubment teet once one crosses the border.....
obama owns the economy get used to it!
I guess these people don't really care about their jobs. After all even if they're fired they get all these freebees from the government thanks to Obama including free Obamacare for them!!!!
Elections have consequences. Just another offshoot of electing that socialist pig in the white house. Who says the workers are underpaid? The workers? You don't like the wages at Wal-mart work somewhere else. If I were Wal-Mart I'd fire ever worker who picketed the store - permanently fired!
Walmart does damage control as Black Friday protests approach
excerpt;
If Walmart is such an amazing employer, with a majority of full-time workers, paid an average of $12.40 an hour (that's $25,792 a year, by the way), why, in state after state, does Walmart lead the list of employers whose workers receive public assistance?
If Walmart is so good to its workers, what's with all the gender discrimination lawsuits? Did the union put thousands of women up to falsely claiming discrimination? What about wage theft and safety violations all up and down Walmart's supply chain? Did the union get a wide range of government agencies to fine Walmart and the contractors it tightly oversees for stuff that never happened? For that matter, at Walmart's own stores? In recent years, Walmart has paid hundreds of millions of dollars to settle wage theft charges.
Stand with Walmart workers this Black Friday.

Answer to 1) : who cares?
Question 2 incorrectly phrased. Should have read "What is your position on parasite union members wah-wah ing over fair pay for fair job skills?
Answer: All strikers should get fired and replaced with workers who realize that their pay is commensurate with their skills. A la air traffic controllers by President Regan.
America is entering a new chapter under President Obama, Chapter 11.![]()
Wal-Mart does not underpay anyone. If you don't like the pay, go work someplace else. It is supply and demand. If a business has trouble getting employees or keeping them, they'll have to raise the pay.
Foodstamp usage is up because of Obozo's attack on the private sector. Four years of EPA and NLRB attacks on the productive class have resulted in record high unemployment. These fools should look at Hostess before they get duped by the union goons into picketing on Friday.
Middle-finger salutes, rotten eggs, urine-filled water balloons are just a few thing that these [deleted] will probably have thrown at them during their lame protest.

Believe it or not, there was a time when people actually had to live without food stamps. The reason people are on food stamps is not because of business, but because of Obama's attacks on business and expansion of the welfare state.
As far as subsidizing anyone, we are only subsidizing your phony messiah's failed socialist policies.
So tomorrow all that are griping about Walmart will be there bright and early to save 30 cents on a roll of aluminum foil, that is if they don't shop lift it.

BF, not to many years ago I would get up for the 5 a.m. sales. One year I got up for a Walmart deal. One of my sons wanted a bike and I thought it was worth my time to get one on sale for $25.00. He was happy and I loved the price.
I am a deal and coupon shopper. I try NOT to pay full price for anything.![]()
My children are my legacy.
