“We are spending too much on the Pentagon and not meeting the needs of our communities and the world. Let’s cut $1 trillion from the Pentagon budget.”
Nearly 300 people from across the country will be bringing this message to their members of Congress this Thursday and Friday at the first ever Quaker Public Policy Institute and Lobby Day.
Grassroots lobbyists—Quakers and FCNL supporters--from Alaska, Washington, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and more than 30 other states will ask their members of Congress cut the Pentagon budget and fund human needs. People from across the country who know how federal funds support their neighbors and communities in schools, elderly services, transit, housing, food and much more will share their stories on Capitol Hill.
