Edmondson struggled with Dundalk...Dundalk is a tough team, but I am a bit surprised

Even the best can struggle at times, especially with certain match-ups, but isn't Edmondson a top flight team with loads of speed from what I hear?

If you don't/can't block or tackle, tons of speed means nothing.

Dundalk came with some scrap. Losing to the storm last year added some motivation to the players from last year squad. Edmondson's defence smothered the owls offence with the exception of some runs from 24 i believe and some recievers catching some balls. Edmondson's team speed limited big plays from dundalk. The second half was dominated by the storm who went from the passing attack to a smash mouth run game and just out muscled the owls. During a punt retun for touchdown called backed you could count 3 to 4 owls collecting themselves off the ground from blocks that guided the returner into the endzone unfortunately one was clipping. You could tell who was the superior team with no disrespect to dundalk. On a season well done to dundalk you have some special players over there keep building. Hopefully edmondson's season doesnt end next week. Unfinished business is what im hearing from them. They might follow the footsteps on the 06-07 team

I was in a state of mild shock Sat when this super Dundalk team took their helmets off and it was at least 10 if not 15 balto city kids who still reside in balto city not only playing but carring that team. We saw ex Patterson. Lake, Mervo and FAET students on the field Saturday afternoon at Poly, BCoPS dose not play that at all. I hope that everything is in order when they look into this?

All of coach Rawlings ex Overlea kids that left and went to Patterson with their former coach Mitchell have baltimore city addresses too sir. All is well beacuse a rule has beem put in place just for these types of situations. The sad part in all of it is the athletic office can do all they want to stop players from moving to school to school to play a sport, the office of student placement controls that and because there are no more zone schools any kid can go anywhere he or she wants if the dont feel safe at a school. Patterson will always get kids because they cant turn them away.

Cheating is something that is illegal or dishonest. I transferred my son and others have because right now academically and athletically Franklin is a great option and beats paying private school money. They had two special request players and neither were public school bound. Milford won because they simply made more plays. Two good teams they will battle for years to come. Good luck to MM.

Dundalk football is attracting kids now. With the new building and a few coaches affiliated with team Holy Dirt, kids from that program may end up at Dundalk. Dundalk is also in a new building next season, and many parents on that side of the county will do what they can to get thier kid in a new school.

Ive got Douglass beating Edmondson. I've seen Douggie play, and they would have destroyed Dundalk

    1. Franklin went away from using one of those special transfers at RB late in the game....

    2. "DC" running a zero coverage late in the game that left the QB running free for the go ahead TD....

So you are saying that there are only two players on Franklins roster that were special request transfers? Now that my friend is bogus. Anyone who knows any of the Franklin players can dismiss that. How does a team like Franklin go from a few talented players a few years ago to having a team of all stars in the last couple of years? Keep fooling yourself.

no your wrong. Reisterstown has had lots of talent but the would go private or to Hereford. They have two sets of brothers that helps four great players rightonthere. Melvin I believe but he's been there since 9th grade. The linebacker actually was on special request to OM and decided to come back. Plus I'm a football junky I never see coach Burgos at Rec games.

Why would he need to be at rec games when he can get special transfers. So all the talent in Reisterstown went to Private or Hereford? I can only think of one big talent that went to Hereford from that area and that was Joe Akers. And that was almost 10 years ago. Again, the talent is coming from somewhere. Something is def going on at Franklin that did not go on there before.

One important factor to the boom of players at franklin can be contributed to the affordable housing in the area(section 8). But at the same time you shouldnt just look at the success at franklin. Owing mills made the playoffs yes 0-10 owings mills and they have been improving every year . New town has been consistent with talent since it opened. Plus instead of all of the talent going to a traditional woodlawn or randlestown it is spread out over the area. Also more rec teams equals more players. Not only will this be a trend in football but other sports to follow. I feel some hatred in thisthe thred towards franklin though ijs
