The lefties making this assertion tend to insist that the media is very 'pro Israel' (which has even less foundation in fact), thus Murdoch is at least observant enough to notice that US media is extremely anti-Israel--which is better than some of the braintrusts on this thread that are ridiculing him.

One would think Murdoch having been in the business as long as he has would know that Jewish people don't own the press and that conspiracy theories are just that conspiracy theories.

Murdoch and Pat Robertson have similar reasoning.
