Default Public Servant killed after shots fired at a party celebrating Obama's re-election

What's the matter with people? My thoughts and prayers go out to the victim's family.

I hope they catch the shooter! Thoughts to the family.

Of course the shooting had nothing to do with Obama's election despite the effort to make it seem like there was a connection.

Batie’s life was cut short early Sunday, when he was caught in the line of fire after a gunman unloaded a round of bullets onto the terrace of the Baldassari Regency in Trenton, where the off-duty corrections officer was attending a party celebrating the re-election of President Barack Obama. The party was not affiliated with the presidential campaign, according to the restaurant’s owner.
I've been wary of openly celebrating this for a long time, and for just this reason.
