Detroit will not get a much-needed $10 million after the city council rejected on Tuesday a contract to hire a law firm that was part of a deal to help the city overhaul its finances...Projections presented by city officials to Detroit's oversight board showed the city's weekly cash flow at just $4.1 million in mid-December before dropping to a negative $4.8 million at the end of the year.
Poor, poor Coleman Youngville. No one left to steal from? You got rid of Ebil Whitey Debil (chased him and his Ebil Whitey money away). As you lay there, near the terminus of your existence, rotting away in years of your own excrement, the hope was that perhaps one bit of fiscal sanity might make it through the delusional racist and classist hate that you yourself have propagated... but alas... such was not the case. One only can imagine the Kwame Kilpatrick style of malfeasance that would have been uncovered. At least have the dignity to go quietly into the night.

Meanwhile:

The District said Monday that hundreds of city workers took nearly $2 million in fraudulent unemployment benefits, a scandal that roiled the D.C. government earlier this year and prompted widespread firings and criminal charges... Mallory's department has referred 318 cases to the District's inspector general, some of which have resulted in civil lawsuits and criminal prosecutions. Other cases are pending.
The Warrenites should take credit for this since they did, indeed, build that corruption and fraud.
