Default GOP Strategist: Time to Talk Back to Rush

I tend to be optimistic and appreciate Feehery's candor but I don't see the GOP changing for the good of the people.

"John Feehery, a veteran Republican strategist, has a blunt message for his party: It’s time to stand up to “the Rush Limbaughs of the world.”

"Taking aim at conservative talk show hosts, Feehery tells me in a video interview, “we cannot be cowed by them. When they say things that are culturally insensitive and stupid, we need to go after them.”

“We had a flawed candidate; we have a flawed party,” says Feehery.

True but others have tried and in the end they always tell Rush they are sorry and were misquoted by the evil MSM.

Looks like the GOP has realized you need to pander to the people and promise them whatever they want.

Obama realized it early on, put you finger in the wind and evolve. Sure it's irresponsible but when your only goal is getting re-elected, it the right move....for you.

Stand up to Rush Limbaugh? He can say whatever he wants. The only thing he represents is his goofy little radio network and his giant bloated dome.

If you listen to more than two minutes of that show and can't figure out it's all an act and joke you are an

How typically silly and ignorant of the this Republican strategist. Standing up to Rush LImbaugh is like opening a flower shop to stop nuclear war.

The problems facing the Republican Party are twofold, 1 systemic and 2 the myth created by the Obama propaganda machine. Rush Limbaugh couldn't be more insignificant in the politics of the Republican Party. John Feehery is a nobody commentator. His theory is laughable.

    Makes perfect sense to me.

I think Feehery believes people like Rush/Hannity have been digging a deeper hole for the GOP and wants to call BS when people like that talk BS. In other words Feehery wants the GOP to face reality and not the garbage Rush spews out.

As for your last sentence, you know and I know there are some who hold what Rush has to say as the gospel.

And the republicans wonder why their collective IQ has dropped 80 points over the years. Nothing happens in a vacuum. When you substitute propaganda for news something is bound to give.
