I would have the Daily Telegraph (a paper the size of the Wall Street Journal, back then) with the tabloid 'Sun Newspaper' hid from sight inside. The Sports section was pretty good too! When I really didn't want to talk I would sit there with a Russian or Chinese newspaper open that I would pick up from the office (I don't read Russian or Chinese), and found that nobody bothered me for the whole commute!

And maybe we will find out why security was denied to Ambassador Stevens when it was requested months before the attack. Terrorist groups seem to be running rampant throughout the middle east since the arab spring. We can blame our intel agencies for their inability to get it right, but when a senior security supervisor who works for the State Department ask for extended security because he sees a real threat from local militant groups with Al Qaeda connections, Hillary Clinton should have backed him up period.

Regardless of whether security was denied or not, it is still the decision of the Ambassador, who is the decision maker on the ground whether it was safe to be in Benghazi or not. He obviously made the wrong decision.

Coming from a military background I don't understand your reasoning. Soldiers are taught to hold the line until their CO's tell them otherwise. Sure, he could have disobeyed orders and ran from his post, but brave and loyal employees will hold the line and do what is expected of them. That is exactly what Stevens did. He didn't fail in his duties. His superior failed in her duties. She failed to protect him. She must be held accountable for her negligence. As she stated, I take full responsibility. What does that statement mean to you? If she had any integrity she would apologize to the families of the follow, and to the country for her failure of duty. If not, then shame on her, and even more shame on her if she runs for president in 2016.
