Lol, good one. Hannity is definitely biased, but I consider that to be a given.

All of them. It's really the only way that I can get a more balanced understanding of what is going on in the world.

That makes sense. Some days all I want to watch is mindless television - too much going on in my own life.

My problem mom is I don't have enough going on in my life. So I focus on the world events which gives meaning to my life. Sad huh.

I really don't care about politics although I have my beliefs about how our government should operate. I consider myself a fiscal conservative and fairly moderate on social issues. But I do enjoy watching world events and try to figure out if there is some sort of connection to what seems like chaos.

Thank you SoSad, I will take "fairly fair" as a compliment.

We should not turn this thread into another Benghazi thread but because it does pertain to coverage (I purposely will not call it reporting) by Fox news and others, it is relevant when it is viewed in the context of political bias in a run up to the election.

Fox news and other voices on the right got the Benghazi attack totally wrong. And what I found troubling is that they milked a situation, using the fact that neither the Administration, or the CIA, or the State Department or the Military could come out in the beginning to counter the fact that this was not a United States Consulate that had been attacked it was a CIA Mission that along with the CIA Annex was being used for CIA Clandestine Operations which was very obviously classified information at the time.

Certainly details of covert operations should not be disclosed without careful consideration but I would find it highly unlikely that Members of Congress with duties related to intelligence oversight had not been briefed, so the saber-rattling, accusations of a cover-up, and political posturing by congressmen were completely irresponsible. Plus of course without letting the cat out of the bag until the information of what was actually taking place in Benghazi had been declassified, more responsible Republican Congressmen could have told Fox news to tone it down or put a sock in it.

Somebody briefed Romney and Ryan what was going on after the second debate because they never ever brought Benghazi up again which was the responsible thing to do.

My response will go most assuredly go off topic. If you care to post this on the original Benghazi thread, I would be more than happy to respond.

No need my friend, I was responding in the context of the reporting by Fox News and its irresponsible coverage on the Benghazi attack, hence the reason to include it in this thread.

You will get little argument from me if you want to suggest that politicians on both sides were playing politics with Benghazi to one degree or another because, that should not come as a surprise to anyone, that is what politicians do!

But we are talking about so-called 'news-organisations' in general and Fox News in particular!

I'm actually blaming ALL news organizations. None are exempt and calling out Fox, IMO, only makes MSNBC look worse.

As Republicans jab Romney though, they're missing the larger, more pressing point: They don't have a Mitt Romney problem. They have a Fox News problem.

Are you, as a conservative, willing to place some of the blame for the party's troubles on FAUX news?

Has FAUX been a leader or a follower in the campaign?

Faux is part of the repubs problem......most people with at minimum half a brain know that Faux news doesn't report news. That said, repubs are wallowing in their own hole which gets deeper and wider by the day. They are in a world all their own.

As Napoleon would have said, “Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.” Translation, let them hang themselves.

You have lost me SoSad. How does the FOX coverage of the attack in Benghazi, much of it blatantly false, make MSNBC or any other news outlets that were not putting out this false information look worse?

I am not SoSure that I understand your reasoning on that post about what calling out Faux News has anything to do with MSNBC.

The idea is that if you notice something about FOX, she tries to change the subject to MSNBC. Talking about FOX's failings is uncomfortable for them.
