If situations were different, and Rush Limbaugh had said that on his show, it would have been all over the national news programs. That Matthews has gotten somewhat of a free pass on such a statement is unbelievable.
Why not? Did Bobo not get a free pass on Benghazi?

Actually, MSNBC is the most biased. Where are you getting the information that Fox is the most biased?

See that is how it works, you have to actually view it to be able to speak about it, and yes liberals do watch Faux News, but usually not for very long LOL

Fox could care less about real politics.

Its like the Sun covering the Ravens and Orioles, why because the Sun Editors love sports, not likely, sports coverage mean more readers.
Much of the same can be said for MSNBC only it is more biased. Years ago, I watched them exclusively. That's no longer possible if I really want a balanced view. I have to skip MSNBC altogether and draw from other sources.

That is my take on it... The GOP doesn't need any help from FOX or anyone else for that matter, it's doing a pretty good job of destroying itself.

Biased news media outlets are annoying and duly noted by those seeking the facts.

There are very few unbiased media outlets. I mostly tend to source the BBC (relatively unbiased) and will sometimes try for a balance with other sources Reuters, al-Jazeera, CNN and the like.

Very true, but as you can see, there doesn't seem to be much agreement on this point when you read the various posts.

I may be a member of one party, but news reporting shouldn't reflect the views of any station or person.

I could not call Sean Hannity or even O'Reilley for that matter unbiased, but the same is true of Chris Matthews. I had high hopes for Rachel Maddow, but ended up disappointed.

IMO, zenwalk said it best and you seem to do the same as zenwalk:

I share many of the same sources as you, but will have to add the BBC to my list.

If someone does not watch it for very long then I don't see how that person could be an honest judge.

IMO, if your interest is merely defending your party via the media, it's a losing proposition for both sides.

I've never understood the idea of holding up one individual or network as this paragon of virtue in the name of being fair in reporting on anything political.

I found it disingenuous that he walked the comment back and apologized by saying he was on the air for a long period of time, and then said there is no excuse.

If there is no excuse, then don't start your apology WITH an excuse.

SoSad, agreed. I don't like the put downs when a poster mentions what news program they might watch.

MSNBC Had More Negative Coverage Of Romney Than Fox News Did Of Obama, Says Pew

A new survey released by Pew examined the negative coverage both President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney have received in the mainstream news as well as in social media. While MSNBC and Fox News are often seen as two sides of the same partisan coin, the survey found one network to be notably more negative toward a candidate.
    Is this a big lie?
