3 reasons why WESTMINSTER is the better team

    1. The owls were actually one if the not the very first team to introduce the spread to the state of Md (2005) and their very sophisticated ppassing attack is just complicated enough to overwhelm Gilma late in the game.

    2. The owls have played very good competition and a late season game vs Gilman would not be too much for them as it regards Gilman highre level of play.

    3. A off the hook pass rush is the only thing that would stop the Owls...Gilman simply lacks Playmakers on the edge's and could not get to the Owls qb enough to alter the outcome of the game....

IF THEY WAS TO MEET....Westminster 33 Gilman 30

Westminster is good but the level of play between this school and GILMAN or GC is not close. They lack size and speed as a unit, period. QO shut them down.

I would love to see QO go up against some of these private elite programs. They have the horses!!!

Hmmmm, 21-19 sounds like a good competitive game between legit teams who should have been in there for the title run. Along with good talent, schemes, etc, luck is always a significant factor. I hate to ask, but were you at the game to say QO shut down Westminster or are you citing the box score and comparing it to previous blow out performances and expect the same in these late rounds of the playoffs biggie?

If Gilman can't beat them, then shame on them. They are the top Private in the top Private division in the state (excluding WCAC, but that is DC), of course they should win.......but could they?
Only team that actually scored on Gilman's first team defense was CHC and McDonogh on a bad call. Every other team either scored on Gilman's fourth team or scored on a defensive play like McDonogh on a blocked punt. Gilman was beating Spalding 42-0 in the first quarter. Spalding scored a safety at the end of the game. In fact, The school that River Hill is close to in style is Spalding. And Gilman would best them the same way.

River Hill couldn't pass on Gilman. I see that you haven't seen Gilman play this year. Just to give you a rundown of Gilman's DL. Henry Poggi(Top 50 player nationally), Junior Melvin Keihn(Top 50 junior nationally), Nick Fertitta(will probably end up at Maryland next season) and Frosh Ellison Jordan(best Frosh in the state and might be the best Maryland has ever had). They would DESTROY River Hill's OL!

QO lost to Seneca Valley, they would get stomped by Gilman, DeMatha, CHC and GC.

Why and how would Middletown beat River Hill? Ever see them play? Is it because you're riding a one state championship streak in forever?

You seem to render a lot of opinions with what appears to be direct knowledge only to learn later that you just rely on some other bogus person's observations. It's like you're rendering an opinion on me being a fag boy. I'm no fag. It's just that my lover BigSky is. But I'm more man than you'll ever be and more woman than you've ever had biggyCocksucker

Good Counsel is the #1 team in the state. Wise is the best public school IMO. Middletown and River Hill don't have the speed to beat these teams. The games would be close.

Wise still has one more game. Wise is a public school so there is no need to sell them to this board. Not yet, anyway. Let them win a championship on the field and then decide if they are better than Gilman in the court of public opinion. Whoever screams the loudest and uses the most explanation marks is usually the winner there. Meade wasn't a challange for Wise but that to me says more about AACo football this year than it does about Wise. Wise, River Hill and Middletown are still playing games. So are 5 other teams who think they are good enough to win a championship and I would not count any of them out. One thing we learned this weekend is that there are no lead pipe locks in the MD state football tournament.

No one in their right mind would actually believe that Wise is better than Gilman or GC. In fact, I don't think they are better than DeMatha. They might be better than CHC but it would be a good game.

No one said Wise could beat Gilman. Gilman would shut down Wise's offense because it is still run right run left and Gilman's D would eat that up. Wise's defense is pretty ridiculous for a public school though. There are going to be at least 6 players on that side of the ball going D1. 5 already have offers.

Good Counsel is the undisputed consensus number 1.. and you annoint Gilman #2 but I think most local people, besides you, think Dematha is better than Gilman. Thankfully for us, there is not a Dematha lunatic on here as psychotic as you, that has as much time as you, that has as little of a life as you, to state their case. But rest assured, Gilman is not the second best team in the state. I've seen them play and you have way overrated them. They should be #3 at best!!!

ps- I wish I had a dollar for every time you said one of the following things:
    - best frosh ever Ellison Jordan
    - Top 20 lineman Henry Poggi
    - Best defense ever in state of maryland (crock of ****, you played a bunch of crappy teams and lost to the good teams, minus bosco).
    - Melvin Kiehn blah blah blah (I have an idea, shut up)

Your season is over, nobody cares, hit the basketball boards.

You are not giving Wise enough credit. Wise would take it to Gilman. They are faster than any team Gilman has faced so who knows what would happen. Moeller didn't beat them with the pass, they beat them with the run left and run right offense and then started mixing in the pass. Gilman is not near as good as Greyhound Alum has made them out to be. They may have some D1 football players but nobody will be a standout D1 football player. Those are the guys that separate a good team from a great team and they don't have that- they have marginal D1 players..

I know all about Wise they are huge (probably the biggest team in the state) and this is easily the fastest team the school has ever had.

Defensively, they are very good its just that Wise's offense is super, mega conservative. They have 3 very quick running backs and a very big and physical offensive line but I dont know if that would be enough. Quince Orchard has a very athletic and talented defense so we will see how Wise does.

I'm not saying they would beat Gilman, but it would not be a blowout like GA says it would be... Wise is bigger and faster and personally, I wouldn't be surprised if Wise beat them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (that is for GA).

I don't speak to the one clown that's talking to you. Anybody that actually thinks that DeMatha could beat Gilman this year is laughable. And to call Henry Poggi, Micah Kiser, Melvin Keihn marginal has an agenda. And just compared Wise or any team in Maryland to Moeller, who is now in the state Finals of the best football state in America this year! Moeller right now could be the best team in the country outside of Manatee. That's how good they are. Wise is a good team but not better than Gilman or GC.

By the way, the biggest team in the state might be Wise but the biggest team in the area is definitely St. John's and we know what that means.
