Default 14 year old doing Black Friday shopping at 2 AM is assaulted then robbed.

    Link: http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/mar...0,956511.story

A group of five men robbed a 14-year-old boy of his shopping bag outside Arundel Mills mall after he walked out of a Bed Bath & Beyond store about 2 a.m. Friday, Anne Arundel County Police said.

The victim told police the men accosted him on the sidewalk just outside the store, one of them punched him and another stole a bag containing merchandise he had just purchased. The suspects, who the boy described as black men aged 17 to 21 wearing black North Face jackets and jeans, ran away toward the mall's Bass Pro Shops entrance.

Police searched the area but could not find the suspects.

yes a valuable lesson learned for the young fellow.
5 black males in the parking lot, people should have been on high alert when they saw them.
this reminds me of the anti-gambling people that said slots would bring crime to arundel mills mall, have the old people who play slots started jacking up people in mall parking lot yet or is it still almost all black males commiting the crimes there?

hope he is ok, but it's weird story .....

and he can't drive, so who was he with, where was he heading? .....

robberies seem to be pretty routine down there and they were worried about the gamblers ..........

I might just have to stick with playing cards at charlestown .....

Moms and dads need to do a better job of keeping their underage kids at home. "Nothing but the devil is out after midnight."

Totally agree, though I do have to shake my head at stores and malls that are open at this ridiculous hour, encouraging shoppers to be out and about at 2 am. It's not like there are substantial folks working the night shifts needing to get some shopping done at this hour.

To be honest, Up2DaRack, I love to shop when few others are around.

Hate to say it but that story sounds a bit weak.

Or as I like to say, "At that hour, you don't have to go looking for trouble; trouble will come looking for you."

When I first heard this story I thought it was very strange.
A 14 year old shopping at a Bed, Bath and Beyond?
    I'm still skeptical.
    We'll see....

Yea you might be skeptical because if true the story is sad and sucks
    1. Him being 14 should be verifiable by the police
    2. Him being punched in the face should be verifiable by the police and he was probably bloody
    3. His bag from BBB was verifiable by the police and the store would have tape and receipts

So yea these ghetto thugs jacked up a 14 year old kid probably shopping for christmas gifts for his parents.
It's a black ghetto culture inner city thing, thats what they do so even if you section 8 these people somewhere else they will take there culture with them and turn everywhere they go to crap.
STATS don't lie and the Dan Rodricks types who are always for section 8 just as long as the section 8 is not in his neighborhood is proof positive that I'm right

Section 8 appears to be your new code word if blacks are involved. You and Yb have a lot in common.

Yes. The description of the suspects made me a little suspicious. All dressed the same?

A 14 year old should not be shopping for anyone at 2:00 a.m. A 14 year old is not even permitted to work until 2:00 a.m.

I agree the 14 year old should not have been out at 2am
I also think the 5 teens who punched him in the face and stole his BBB stuff is FAR more egrigous and should result in them being sent to prison

Depends. My wife took my 14 year old out last year. But he was not shopping by himself.

If he had an responsible adult with him I have no issue with it. Where were his parents?

I'm sorry that it wasn't obvious that I meant by himself.
