Understand what tradition???? Before last year, you were considered among the best teams NOT to have won a title. So now you won ONE and in line to do another so now you have a "...tradition...", please! If your play on the field speaks for itself then you just haven't been speaking long enough with just one title win. There are tons of teams who have done that. Win three, four, and five and then talk "tradition." One title just not does do it in the tradition aspect to me.
Just sayin'
Now I wonder if I got Knight pumped enough to really want some get back to hear him trash talk :-)
Fair enough. I checked the facts and Middletown has ONE title. You have been the bridesmaid four times as many. So is this what you wish to tell me about facts being reality!! As Coach Denise Green would say, "...you are who we thought you were..." I'd say you are far from the likes of Urbana for example to swell up with such an aire with only one win. But good luck to you this weekend. Anything less than another title - #2 - I feel would be such a great disappontment to you all, now wouldn't it!

Trip my question to you is this, are your boys going to shut these Frederick County boys up or what? Sounds like me they are talking that talk! They smacked Douglas in their mouth last year, this year there should be no surprises. Douglas has the suppose star studded lineup with the best WR in the state in Harris and another super stud in Monroe(who wasn't on the team last year). No excuses this year my friend, time for Douglas to put up! Btw, I'm rooting for Douglas in this one.
I have no dog in this fight, only rooting for them because they are the underdogs. Would be a good story. That being said, I fully expect Middletown to win convincingly.
As far as the tired thing FD has said, that's is a cop out. They got destroyed by a much better team!
What talking are you referring to? This was started by first down attempting to stir something up by saying they seem to have an "air about them". What have the players or coaches done that would make you think that. The only celebrating they do after a good play is to hug each other. No chest bumps or drawing attention the themselves. There is no trash talking to the other team.
So because first down knows someone at another school in our league that has a problem with us he stretches it to the whole league. Im pretty sure I know who that might be and look up our record vs that team over the last 10 years and we were on the wrong end of quite a few beatdowns by them over the years. So they can't handle it when they get a taste of it? There have been several head and asst coaches from 4-5 other county teams over the last 3 years that have called to ask if they could help scout or do whatever to help the team.
ALL the talk is coming from First Down. Where on here or MD Var. or anywhere has there been Middletown people talking about how great the team is. Show me the proof. The proof is someone that does not even live in the county knows someone up here that has a problem with the team. And that one person speaks for everyone in this area. First Down, come on. You usually have decent post but come on thats all you have.
BTW. That hit on kick off vs. Edmon. was terrible and should have resulted in a ejection.
When I said talking, I wasn't talking about players or coaches. I have never heard any of them ever say anything about any team. I was more messing with FD, who is a Douglas supporter. My question was posed to him, if he feels the Middletown people are calling themselves a PROGRAM after only one title, what will his PG County boys do this weekend to put them in their place?
