Whats the liberal stereotype put forth by Ravn? There certainly are some liberals writing for serious gun restrictions and no doubt theres many liberals that would love to get guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens..And lots of those liberals are in power positions so it's not to far a stretch to consider that the right to bear arms might be threatened.

That most liberals want guns banned. This one could care less, and gets a kick out of those who view it as even a remote possibility.

And that is stereotyping on your part. I was stereotyping those who actually fear that there is a possibility of them being banned, and take in all of the NRA doomsday talk of just that (aka: rednecks)

If you use a crossbow you can get a shot off in fairly tight spaces without waking the kids.

The reload time on the crossbow does suck, and then the guy is just screaming in pain which will wake up the kids. You'd probably need to transition to a camping axe after the first shot, and that is messy.

I just got a crossbow, and I'll agree that it's potentially a seriously deadly thing. The reload time kills it as home protection though, unless you get that first shot on target.
