Also, the play calling was better in the second half. They were calling plays that allowed Joe to get the ball out of his hands quickly. We need more of that.
Sure he should have just heaved it downfield up for grabs with no one open and the Chargers DBs and linebackers just sitting back twenty some yards waiting for it. That would have been idiotic. With them laying as far off the line of scrimmage as they were at least a dump off to Rice had a chance. I guess it was also Flacco's fault in the AFC championship game that Evans dropped the winning TD. Is he Brady or Peyton in his prime? No but he helps get this, team in the playoffs every year since he has been here.
The Ravens won. 9-2. BE HAPPY
16 is enough to beat any team if you hold them under 16....the giants are a jeckyl and hyde team....very beatable in M&T....broncos....became one dimensional yesterday...the key to beating the Broncos is keeping Thomas bottled up.....
of course the fact the Ravens are averaging over 30 points a game at home makes having to hold teams under 16 a little less necessary.....
I still can't understand why there is talk about Joe and his play as a QB. All he has done since coming here is win. He has helped lead this team to wins in every possible way. Why is it never enough?
I had someone text me during the game yesterday saying the Ravens should leave Joe in SD. Really? He's not one of the top five or maybe not even one of the top ten but he is good enough to win and get the Ravens to the SB.
it's very simple....ravens fans a schizo went it comes to QBs...all Flacco does is win, but he does it without a lot of flair, drama and style...see the comments about the way he looks on the sidelines...he looks the same whether the ravens are wining or losing...that apparently is a problem, even though being even-keeled is a much better personality when it comes to dealing with the immediate success or failure of a given play...style is far more important to some than results....a couple of the vocal minority have already expressed their displeasure because they woke up this morning realizing the ravens won again and didn't rack up enough style points in the process....
(And anyone who thinks the win yesterday was ONLY because of Rice's miraculous 4th down run really does not understand the first thing about the game of football. Sure, without that ONE RUN, the game is over. But the game -- and Joe's 355 passing yards!!! -- had a lot more to do with the win than just that one run.)
it's taken awhile for me to come around to join the Cam must go group....it is really baffling how the Ravens have two different offenses dependent on game location....I can't think of another team in the league that is like this....
Rice made an outstanding play to keep the drive going....however, he would not have been successful without Joe getting him the ball or Boldin's block (which was not a clip not matter how much Merrill Hoge whines that it was)....
I'm calling you out. when you say silly stuff like this, I will call you out every single time. Now tell us what you see is different in the game calling.
