Come on, bro. You spotted the differences in the play calling by cam on the road vs home games. You hold the key to fixing this offense for away games and your response is "Stop stalking me."? You and only you hold the keys for fixing this offense but you want to keep it a secret? I'm sure there are other people here who want to know as well.
For those of you who don't want to go back and read the previous pages, OriginalColtsFan said he knows why Flacco is so bad only during away games. It's because of Cam's play calling. I know, shocker. But he said he sees the differences in Cam's play calling between away games, where flacco is below average at best and home games, where Flacco is putting up pro bowl numbers. Please tell us the differences so Flacco can put up pro bowl numbers during away games as well as home games.
Including the man who threw the pass. All this "vision and analysis" stuff is a bunch of bunk! You and I obviously see it. It was a dumpoff pass pass pure and simple. It was conceding defeat in the situation. It was Ray Rice. Ray Rice who saved the day and kept us alive. Now - after that, I must say the O did wake up and start making the plays they should be making. But to pretend that there was any sort of vision or foresight on throwing to Rice was BS. It was a checkdown.
I see the whining continues....like I said you become more miserable with every win....the dump off was the only opportunity for Flacco to get rid of the ball....you'd be whining if he just threw it up for grabs as that would also be conceding defeat...unless of course you have magical powers that says the pass would have been complete....you are one of those whiny little people who no matter what happens, will always find fault....you should change your name to "EPIC FAIL"....no make that "WHINY EPIC FAIL".....
are you sure he thinks? he's a cam apologist...Cam calls all the right plays and Flacco screws them up.....he's too easy to read.....
lol..
we may be dorks, but we are infinitely smarter and wiser than you could ever aspire to be....I'm still waiting for your definitions of limited and not much....Earl Sinclair never took this long to think.....Earl might been before your time...here's a link http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...QEwAg&dur=1146
you do nothing but complain the ravens did win pretty enough for you....life is tough when your team wins and you look foolish....
Most of the football fans that I talk to (that are not Ravens fans) seem to think that the Ravens win in spite of Joe, not because of him. I have to admit that I tend to agree with that for the most part.
I see him as a mid level quarterback at best, certainly not "elite" as he so desperately wants to be. He does do one thing extraordinarily well though... he manages to not lose us too many games. The Ravens are winners with him at QB, and that's all that matters in the long run. If you would have told me before the season started that the Ravens were 9-2 at this point, I would have wondered what you were smoking.
Back to Joe, he gets a lot of credit for having the most wins in his first 4 years, but you have to wonder how some of the other QB's in the league would have done here over the years with our D and Ray Rice in the back field.
I do think that the opinion of Joe is what it is because he rarely puts up "superstar" numbers. A lot of the time his numbers are just plain ugly. Maybe that's his fault, maybe it's due to Cameron and the play calls. If that's the case, and I've said this before, if I'm Flacco, and I truly want to be an "elite" quarterback, maybe he needs to take matters into his own hands and "boycott" Cameron's plays if he feels like he can call better ones. He is the "franchise" quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens, what are they going to do... bench him?
Whether it's due to Cameron's lousy play calls, or his own ability, most fans will not see him as being "elite" until he puts up better numbers. Nothing will change that "winning in spite of" perception that most non Ravens fans have...![]()
Excellent post. The whole opinion on Flacco will always be argued because he can put up elite numbers one week and then just lay an egg the next week. He even will put up elite numbers on one half and lay an egg the other half. I just think he has a hard time getting motivated for some games. This week should be interesting. We are at home where Flacco puts up elite numbers but he is going up against the number one passing defense. I have no idea what to expect this week from him.
As a long time Steeler fan and football fan in general I have always kept an eye on the Ravens. Now, admittedly I don't follow them as close you all but never the less here are my observations on Joe Flacco. When Joe first started in 2008 I thought of him as an average quarterback with an above average arm. After four years and watching him start his 5th my opinion is now a great quarterback with an outstanding arm. Joe has also progressed into a much improved quarterback as far as pocket presence and the ability to read a defense, with accuracy on his passes that put him into the category of the top QBs in the league. I have watched him lead the Ravens to not one, but two come from behind wins at Heinze field in recent years. This young man has grown into a confident veteran QB in front of my eyes.
For those who think Flacco is below average I wonder want you might think should he not be able to start a game and your back up QB has to step in. I'll tell you what you'll think. You will be begging for Flacco to saddle back up under center.
See 2012 Pittsburgh Steelers.
Those that think of him as below or even average are total fools without a clue. Nobody can be that "lucky" with limited surroundings around him for 5 years. Elite maybe, maybe not BUT pretty damned good at minimum, his record, the one that counts W/L is all that need be looked at. He was a well thrown dropped pass in the gut and a blown chip shot FG away from the SB last year.
