It was totally absurd that the officials moved the chains first and then reviewed the spot. Because of their ignorance they should not have even been allowed to review it since it was all speculation on where the chains were to begin with.

are you serious? that's how you refute picture-based evidence? are you 12?
Are YOU serious? "Picture based "EVIDENCE"? LOL. Get real. It took the refs 10 minutes with VIDEO replays from several different angles, and the bottom line was it was still subjective.
Better yet...get over it. Move on. Nothing here to see.
Oh, but wait...you're caught in an infinite loop and can't get out. N/M.
it took the refs ten minutes because they realized the sideline crew had moved the chains.
look, you can drink all the kool-aid you want, but most everyone realizes the Ravens got lucky there. Rice's knee hit the ground well short, and he actually gained momentum off the knee. just remember your luck the next time you want to cry about the NFL, the Steelers, the Patriots, etc having it in for Baltimore, eh?![]()
Look, you can whine all you want about this call or that call. The Ravens have had more than their share of getting screwed, so if another team got screwed this time (which it didn't; it screwed itself by giving up 29 yards on 4th down with the game on the line), oh well. Life goes on.
(Except, of course, for the Chargers. Their 2012 NFL life just died an ignominious death. In a division with the 1-10 Chiefs and the 3-8 Raiders no less. And all they can manage is 4-7. OUCH. That's gotta really hurt!!)
C'ya.
I thought he was a half yard short after seeing the replays. It looked like he got to like the 34 and a half yard line and the first down marker was at the 34 yard line. We got a very generous spot either way. Also the camera angle makes a huge difference too.
Everyone is getting wrapped around the axle about the spot, the block, throw it long, throw it short, etc....Making it was much nicer than juuuusssssst missing it!
We could focus on missed penalties, bogus penalties, etc... but let's talk about a team that found ANOTHER way to win on the road.
