What you have to understand Just Pondering, is that the CIA Mission in Benghazi is not the White House and the occupants of the Mission where covert CIA Agents, posing as State Department employees conducting clandestine operations which to all intents and purposes means we were not even acknowledging their existence, hence there was nothing in Benghazi for anybody to defend.

We don't provide security for under cover CIA Agents or for Special Forces, they provide their own security and are only responsible for themselves.

Now the only problem with this picture is Ambassador Stevens and what he was doing there mixed up with this nest of CIA Agents and the operations they were conducting. The only conclusion I can come to is that the Ambassador was involved with the CIA and the operations they were conducting which means he was doing something clandestine to! And that my friend puts him in the same boat as the CIA with responsibility for his own safety.

Now had the Ambassador not unfortunately have died from smoke inhalation then you would never have heard about Benghazi or the other 3 deaths because it would have been all hushed up. But because you can't just knock off an Ambassador even though he was obviously involved in something he should not normally have been, is why we have this embarrassing mess that unfortunately those on the right have chosen to play political football with.

Anyway you look at it, there obviously wasn't enough security.

I have no one link my friend because I draw my information and conclusions from a whole host of sources plus my own experience and common sense. But I would respectfully suggest that if you really have an interest you should take the time to read the Benghazi thread where a number of very informed and knowledgeable posters have been discussing the subject for weeks.

You need to think outside of the box. McCain and the Republicans don't want Susan Rice as Secretary of State because she doesn't have a Senate Seat to give up. They want John Kerry to be Secretary of State so that Scott Brown can contest and possibly win Kerry's Senate seat in Massachusetts!

Rice said on 9/16 that it hadn't yet been determined if Al Qaeda or local Libyan extremists were behind the attacks. She never ruled out Al Qaeda involvement and never claimed that it wasn't a terror attack. This whole issue is bogus...

With Susan Rice being on the short list for the Secretary of State job, then why was she not told about the changes made to the CIA's report? There are just too many things surrounding this scandal that does not make reasonable sense!
