Default Holding call on Marshall Yanda

Of course the national media and Philip Rivers are whining about the spot of the ball on 4th and 29 which is debatable but i've yet to hear a single person mention the holding call on Marshall Yanda that was complete and utter bullcrap that led to the 4th and 29 in the first place

Even the two announcers had nothing to say about that call when it was replayed but what the national media and Rivers need to really talk about is why Rice was even able to make that play that close.

exactly. That is completely inexcusable no matter how you slice it

And the insane call on Pollard. He basically hit the receiver with his side/back. His helmet was not involved in the play at all. It was a horrible call.

You're right. It was a horrible call by a horrible ref. Gene Steratore has proven that he has the integrity of a jackal so I really dread any upcoming game that his crew is going to be a part of

I've been talking about that holding call whenever anyone complains that Ray didn't make that first down.

That holding call was b.s.. I found it incredible that Rice actually made that 1st down. I thought Bolden's block could have been a block to the back penalty on their safety who I think got hurt the play.

That one was uncalled. Some stuff went on that went uncalled. Other lesser penalties got called. Go figure.

Cason was arm barring Smith for at least 10-15 yards in the same drive and THAT didn't get called. So when it's all said and done...the refs stunk, the Ravens won, and next up...Pittsburgh at M&T.

The Bolden block was clean. Close enough that they COULD HAVE called it (and made a bad call) but Bolden came in from the side and the fact that Weddel spun such that he landed on his back shows that the impact was more to the front. Thus not in the back.

Give Dan Fouts some credit, he did manage to circle Kelechi Osemele on the one partial replay of the hold

    Absolutely. That call was BS.

Fouts was horrible, what a homer, at a minimum he should never do a game where the Chargers are playing.

His "I hope so" comment about a call that should go SD's way was over the top.

Or...he should ONLY be allowed to do Charger games.

(And honestly...it's not ALL that different than when Cowher comments on the Steelers. Several times he's slipped in "we", as if he were still their HC. So hey...it happens. And in a way, I'd rather see/hear that than listen to Cal Ripken (i.e. Uncle Fester ) go to the opposite extreme to NOT sound like a homer.)

It was a BS call and I was convinced that it would be the deciding factor in the game until Ray Rice breathed life back into the team.

That wasn't even the worst of it. Entire article on the poor telecast.

Another one was on the 4th and 29. There was clearly a 4 man rush from San Diego yet fouts said multiple times there were 8 in the secondary. This was after it replayed at least 3 or 4 times.
