It is more of a statement of girls basketball in the county. Randallstown isn't very good but they were able to advance to through the brackets because the other teams were worse.

I've never understood the point of having a team that has only won 6 games in a season being able to play in the state playoffs anyway. Just take the top 3/4 of every division!!!!

Its the whole fairness and wanting to give everybody a shot theory that the MPSSAA folks subscribe to. Only time I ever remembering a losing team winning was the year Forest Park entered the playoffs with a 2-15 record but ended up winning the 1A championship.

Baltimore Sun - All Metro pictures are being taken today. Here are my picks:

    Alexis Harrison – Digital
    Stephanie Jones – Aberdeen
    Dionna White – Milford
    Q Murray – Milford
    Dyzhanay Burton- City College
    Camille Calhoun- Archbishop Spaulding
    Tierra Pendleton- Poly
    Tyshell King- St. Frances
    Jimmia McCluskey- Aberdeen
Bre Boldin – South River (not sure if this is in our metro, but she had a really good year)

Who else is worthy? I know I missed some people, but I saw mostly City and nearby County teams.

    Let's talk about it.

I'd be shocked if Bri Jones from Aberdeen didn't make first team.

Yeah, left Bri off only because she missed more than half the season. Kind of hope that they give her spot to someone else that is also deserving and played the whole season. Spread the wealth, so to speak. The question is, will her sis, Steph win POY. I think she probably will. And next year, and the next year, and so on and so on....

I agree but Bri has that scholarship to Maryland and that holds alot of weight down at The Sun.

Is there anyone out there that can help me figure out how to get my girl an invite to an elite or select camp this summer? Can't find anything for this year about the Nike Skills Camps. Kid has d-1 offers and is an all-met player.
I do see that Gannon Baker will be in MD in late August for a two day camp.

I'm out of the loop on this , so any help would be appreciated.

Well you were correct. The Sun left Bri off both lists and rightfully so. They gave the POY to Scaife from Spalding.

Congrats to all the girls selected as All-Met. Especially to my favorite person in the world, my girl Dyzhanay Burton. And a shout-out to the Shooting Stars for having 3 girls on 1st team and another on the 2nd team. Way to go, Bre, Dionna, and TP.

Now, get to studying for the SAT. Finish 4th quarter strong. And go get those scholarships this spring at the Nike Initational and the rest of the summer!!!
