Who did the ranking this year. Roland Park over Keough was not an upset. Roland Park is stacked.

Poly is a little to high. Roland Park is too low. So is Milford.

Default Sun top 15 girl's teams

Who has Petrides pissed off at the SUN? Why have the City girls dropped the past two weeks in the poll despite crushing everyone they have played. Weak schedule? Maybe? but to have them ranked well below a team that has already lost 5 games is a joke.

Tell city to go out and actually schedule basketball teams instead of teams like Lewis

    74-4 final

Are you saying that City shouldn't play the teams in the Baltimore City league? That's not allowed. They don't have a choice. You have to play the teams in your league, unfortunately. It would be a lot more competitive if City, Poly, Dunbar, Digital, and Western played twice, and you played only 2-3 of the other schools. This would leave room to schedule 4-5 good out of conference games. And you're right that their schedule is weaker than last year when they played glenelg and Aberdeen back to back.

One thing's for sure. 74-4 games aren't good for anybody. And the lack of competition hurts us when we get to the regions / states.

Who are the unknown players to watch in city/ and surrounding counties?

Can anybody beat Digital Harbor with their 3 D-1 players?
Yeah sucks to pay for a message board. We are over at nextsportsphenom.com message board it's free and has some interesting DMV content.

What I'm saying is how is it helping programs like City/Poly by playing teams with much less skill.

FWIW City was very impressive to watch

Is it just me- a 3-7 team ranked #8 seems kind of ridiculous.
You can argue that the competition is better in the Catholics, but you still have to win, right?

You have to look at all 7 losts to superior teams. I agree the City schools have not played any competition. City and Poly duck out on the biggest tourney in Baltimore (The Beast of the East) every year and play in inferior X-mas tourneys. Can anyone explain what happened to Western High School. They were the class of the City and their region. Now they are B conference team at best. What is Lee-Blakney doing in their 2nd year?

Milford is rebounding and playing well. Gotta give more credit to Howard Co/Baltimore Co in this poll.

Teams still shouldn't be rewarded just for scheduling better teams. You have to win some games as well. And the privates, as you probably know, can schedule a lot more games than publics. Publics are limited to 22 game max and have travel restrictions as well hence the having to stay local for Xmas tourneys.

Also, City and Poly have both played in the Beast of East/ Breezy every year except for last year and this year. And I can forgive City as they scheduled Aberdeen, Glenelg, Bowie last year. There's no excuse for not playing this year, I agree.

As a follower of girls basketball in the city I hear People complain about schools like City and Poly and their weak schedule in playing schools like Lewis and NAF etc. And how they dont play nobody. Or how Western has fallen from grace and they lost 4 to 5 players to county schools in which they lived in in the first place. These problems will never cease until you get real leadership on North Ave. In all actuallity in doesnt make a difference becasue when it comes to the states city Schools are placed where the board wants them to be anyway. Whats th point of having seeding and/or palying games when all you have to do is win 1 game and you're in the tourney or how a team with 6 players should even be let onto a court and 3 of them look like theyre about to have heart attacks but yet you have 12 players on jv. this city is a joke and i wish there was a way to convert back to the old msa days where winning and losing meant something and private played public.....so whats the point of complaining when you dont have a true coach at these schools to teach the kids the game. If im not mistaken thet're 25 city schools that field a girls basketball team and 7 of them are true coaches that care and are trying to build an actual program while the rest are school police officers collecting checks and dont put in work

    Post Baltimore City

I am not talking about the teams they blow off the floor. I am talking about out of conference games and Christmas tournaments. Digital Harbor is playing down south. Mcdonald gets it. It is about exposing your kids to different environments and different competition. Plus the City has division I and division II now. City has a good team as well as Poly. But if you never leave Baltimore, who will see your talent. You cannot control your in conference games but you can control your out of conference. I do have to give Western kudos for playing Riverdale. Blakney's problem is she is in a position where she had to replace a dominant coach. So she was in a lose/lose. She does not have the talent that Western usually produces and they look average.

IAAM- As predicted Spalding/Mcdonogh at the top of the hill with SFA/Mcdonogh and Palloti lurking. I love the IAAM this season. I don't think you can book Spalding and McDonogh in a rematch just yet.
