Flu shot

Did you get your flu shot or do you just prefer to take your chances? Just about every drug store in town offers them, so there's no excuse if you want to be protected.

Have you ever had the real flu..... not talking about just some virus that you rebound from in a few days.

I get them every year since I had a "please kill me now" case of the flu in the mid 90's.

My health insurer even pays for them, so hell yea.

I'll take my chances, not because I don't trust the shot, more so I don't trust the person giving the shot.

I just take my chances, several days after the only time I got a flu shot I came down with a case of the flu that caused me to miss 2 weeks from work. If someone had shot me it would have been a mercy killing.

I get the shot every year, with heart failure you don't get a second chance with flu.

yes, I have had the actual flu, only once in my life. I've never been so sick.

I get one every year also...

I got it this year as soon as it became available. I just happened to be at the Doctor's office for something else when the Doc said they just came in and did I want to get it while I was there...

I think young people under 40 or even 50 can take a chance and not get it without much problem, but if your 55 and over, I think your really taking a bad chance not getting it.
