Question Why is Harry Reid reporting on Bob Dole?

Former Republican presidential nominee and former Kansas Senator Bob Dole has been hospitalized, CBS News reports.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced Dole's hospitalization Tuesday on the Senate floor.

"He is at Walter Reed not for a checkup," Reid said. "He is there because he is infirm. He is sick."

I guess he didn't have any more blatant lies to take to the senate floor and spread .......

it really is beyond me how the american people can just except the romney tax lies that he told from the senate floor as the senate leader ........

that fact that they now can look up to him as their leader shows how desperate the left was for victory and have no principles ......

truly a disgrace and a low point in america ......

that shows how desperate the left was for victory as much as anything ......

Maybe he's working overtime on the 3 year + delinquent budget?

Why wouldn't he? Reid is the Senate Majority Leader and Dole was a long~time Senator and despite belonging to different parties, they are both colleagues and friends. Who else ~ if anyone ~ should have made the announcement?

How do you know that they are friends? There was no announcement to make and it was up to Dole's spokesperson - not Reid.

The way he said it was awful. I can see his telling his fellow senators, but if it's just for routine tests, as apparently it was, he made an rather big deal of it.

Exactly. He over-stepped and exaggerated -- and likely made the "announcement" w/o Dole's consent.

UPDATE -- 5:37 p.m.: An assistant to Dole told CBS News in an email that Dole is in the hospital for a "routine" procedure and will leave tomorrow.

"[He's] doing well and watching the CRPD debate on CSPAN 2," Dole's assistant said.
Harry Reid is nothing if he is not consistent. He is consistently wrong about everything.

Do you REALLY think they're friends? Dole is everything Crazy Harry couldn't be except a "good Mormon" maybe.

OK, they're both boring I'll give you that.
