Personally,
I think social security is a pretty easy fix. Periodically make one time adjustments to the annual rate of benefit growth. Return the tax rate to where it was before Obama cut the payroll tax. Raise the threshold of applicable income from the current 110,000 to 150,000.
Everybody feels some pain but the system is preserved and there is no means testing for eventual benefits so everyone still has a reason to support the system.

'No' is the answer the ribald rapine and even greater forced fiscal sodomy of removing the caps on socialist security. Instead, the 'promise' of socialist security of no one paying more than $3000 in the legalized Ponzi scheme should be kept.
