Default Oh oh, Proposed List of Banned Weapons

I'm amazed the M1 Carbine & Ruger Mini-14 head the list. Why not throw the SKS with fixed mag in there as well? Anything by Daisy should also be in there, they obviously forgot the Mattel Fanner Fifty!!

the Democrats have the votes to pass anything they want to impose upon us.
Couldn't make it more than two sentences without going hyperbolic.

So that makes it untrue? I'm just the piano player, I didn't write the music within. Again, the M-1 carbine and Mini 14????? WT F?

Here it is, folks, and it is bad news. The framework for legislation is already laid, and the Democrats have the votes to pass anything they want to impose upon us.
LOL! The author of the piece sounds like a bit of a crackpot. It won't get through either the House of Representatives or the Senate.

Well since Bobo wants to make the list illegal I don't feel quite so bad about losing all of mine in that canoe accident off Point Patience. I tonged for hours but it's over 100' so I got nothing now, not even scrap.

This is indeed an accurate sentence. Since the Democrats now control both houses they can pass anything they want. It's a good thing that all those western-state Democrats in the Senate are so anti-firearms. I can't believe how anti-gun Begich, Heinrich, Tester, Bennett, Baucus, and Johnson are.

    Seriously?

Alan Korwin makes money selling books of of gun laws. If the laws don't change he doesn't sell as many books, so he's likely trying to fill in his income a little NRA-style "The Democrats are Coming!" boogeyman stuff.

    Dude needs to get paid.

Did you hear that Obama is going to tax every round at $0.75? By the way I sell ammunition.

I also did not know that the President could raise taxes on his own

If you stash it via canoe the bay and deep tributaries are absolutely full.

This was the basis for that. When someone I knew told me $0.75 right after the previous election it was a different number, and I just rolled my eyes at them.

The disappointing thing is all the money the NRA has dumped into fighting the ghost of Obama and the Democrats who clearly don't have the votes or the will to do the things the NRA claims they will do. This money could better be used for programs for their membership, including teaching quite a few people and their children proper firearms handling (my favorites: trigger control and positive weapon retention). Instead Wayne LaPierre gets rich making statements that the real reason Obama and the Democrats haven't made a move on their guns is because they want to lull everybody into a false sense of security and then strike.

The NRA is getting marginalized and it makes me very happy. They're primarily acting as a lobbying group of manufacturers that fund most of the organization through "partnerships" instead of taking care of their members.

Yeah, he's bound to take your guns like he did the first term. Go fly a kite, bland.

    LaPierre's "Wisdom" <Membership Drive>:

“But it’s a big fat stinking lie!” the NRA leader exclaimed. “It’s all part of a massive Obama conspiracy to deceive voters and destroy the Second Amendment in our country.”

“Obama himself is no fool. So when he got elected, they concocted a scheme to stay away from the gun issue, lull gun owners to sleep and play us for fools in 2012. Well, gun owners are not fools and we are not fooled,” La Pierre declared.

That seems to be at the bottom of every lobbying effort no matter the issue these days. Agree entirely. Need to take money out of it (no idea how though).

8 years of a Republican President followed by 8 years of Democrat not doing anything with firearms is already a problem for them. If they can't scare people into paying for memberships then they take a revenue hit. If there's no real issues that come up for a couple of decades it's going to be real hard for them.

If they're going to focus their money on legislation they should spend more money on concealed and open carry issues in states as well as the "Stand Your Ground" laws they've been moving with partnered with ALEC. This still will result in a revenue drop because a lot of firearms owners don't really care about some/all of those issues.
