Usually the side-effect complaint with the drug is hypersexuality in general, not any sort of switch to homosexuality. It's a neat lil magic trick. The secret to the trick is for the person to be gay before taking the drug. That allows the drug to suppress the brain functions they use to lie about it. This in turn allows the unimpeded and unaltered truth to emerge. So the drug did not make him gay. It merely made him get honest about being gay.
