Default Best Football Rivalry in MD Contest at USA Today

    http://contest.usatodayhss.com/vote/md

I am partial to Calvert Hall/Loyola though I would understand City/Poly. Personally I think both are better rivalries than Good Counsel/Dematha.

And yes... Everybody knows that Fort Hill Allegheny is a great rivalry and deserves to be on the list.

It's City-Poly and it's not even close! DM/GC shouldn't even be an option.

    There should be 5 choices:

    1. City-Poly (oldest rivalry in the state, one of the oldest in the nation)
    2. McDonogh-Gilman (oldest private school rivalry in the state)
    3. Loyola-Calvert Hall (oldest parochial school rivalry in the state)
    4. Fort Hill-Allegany (maybe the most intense of all of these)
    5. Linganore-Urbana (very underrated rivalry game)

    5. Linganore-Urbana (very underrated rivalry game)

This is a good list..part of a rivalry is a long tradition of playing each other...In my opinion, That would leave DeMatha and GC out.

This a joke right? Severna Park/Broadneck? Hahahahaha! Damn you must really hate Gilman. Gilman/McD is the second oldest game in the state! They have a week of newspaper articles about the game but they don't make your top 5? Please!!

    heres my list,

    1. City vs Poly by a huge landslide..once you throw in the gate numbers, marching bands, close scores and the tailgate, its a done deal.

    2. Fort Hill vs Alco....just huge out west

    3. Loyola vs CHC

    4. Gilman vs Mcdonogh....if they would just move this game to thanksgving or the undercard of City vs Poly...it would triple in its magnitude.

Randallstown/Woodlawn??? You can't be serious. You would get a bigger crowd to see Perry Hall vs Middle River 7-9
If you're going to seriously consider adding the the list it would have to br Gilman/McDonough #3 behind Loyola/Calvert Hall with Fort Hill/ALCO at #4 Number 5 remains a toss up...Randallstown/Woodlawn!!!!! "NOT"

City/Poly without a doubt. How can you even compete with 124 "CONSECUTIVE" years of tradition..

Since we are in Baltimore I see the local ones getting all of the attention, but the Fort Hill/Alleghany game wins by a landslide. It is not unusual to see 10k + at that game. It is a town rivalry. It made the Nfl list a few years back.
