Congratulations to all the winners. Even though im from Baltimore and ofcourse was rooting for Dunbar to win, I thought it was a little classless to run up the score they way they did. The pick 6 I had no problem with. Every kid would have taken the oppertunity to score but, being up 27-0 and then pulling the fake punt I was a little disappointed in the coaches calling that one. The game was already well in hand so punting the ball away would not have changed the outcome of the game. Again Im happy for the kids to have secured another ring ( they're running out of fingers, LOL) but my respect for the coaches dropped just a little bit.

    Totally agree. Pretty classless.

Classless...please! After a week of reading news clips in every local media outlet covering baltimore high school sports, hearing how you would lose to david; they were not going stop until the final whistle. Bro..its sports! Bill Bilicheck and college coaches send reminders all the time! If you dont want it to happen...stop it. I know Calvert Hall and Patterson sent us ones before....its just football, not personal.....well maybe it was personal.

Why you all continue to sing the "they're all against" us song just baffles me. New Town was a big underdog that deserved some shine for making it to the championship. The oohing and aahing on every play and the "na na na na" chant were just way over the top by the Dunbar fans. You all need to stop with the Rodney Dangerfield mentality. You've been there way too many times for that.

I tell ya. Im a firm believer in karma. What goes around comes around. If I'm not mistaken, Meth is the same guy that came on here back in 06 talking about how ity ran up the score on them. the final score of that game was 26-12. i dont see any score being run up there. I guess the bottom line is this guy and dish it our but he can't take it. I think in some circles it's called being 'self absorbed"

I watched the game on tv. It was good to see my boy "Lemme At 'Em" out there doing his thing. One thing i will say about that gut is he gives everyone in the City his total support. have even seen him at my great nephews 7-9 games cheering with the same enthusiasm. I think the city should find some way to fomally recognize this guy in the way they did Wild Bill Hagey back in the 80's

Maybe the head coach realized this might be his last opportunity to run the score up against an overmatched opponent in a State Final. Next year they might be bigger and better.

Now that my family connections are done their football careers over on Orleans Street I can get back to "hating" Dunbar. One thing for sure though, I'll cheer for the Poets if they play challengers from your neck of the woods or from down south at M&T next year.

We would certainly welcome the opportunity. Dunbar moving up to 2A only elevates the level of competition in 2A and, after all, you always want to play the best and hopefully beat the best......that's what athletic competition is all about.

yes truly agree.. maybe playing teams like you all will give Dunbar a idea on how to promote their kids and get them out to good schools with out relying on that one super kid to bring all the college coaches thru.. and i love the way you all keeps your stats for every game.. on your kids.. now that forces DUNBAR NOW TO DO THE SAME!! just saying that they have to make a lot of changes now.. are they really sure they want to move up? talent wise they (Dunbar) can bang with anyone.. but the coaches might not be.. its a lot of work to be now.. maybe they were toooo COMFORTABLE

You are way off on this one, the same dudes that had the gaul to say they were not impressed with the city champs also took to the air and spoke on how they were gonna shut them down? They got BEAT UP!!!!!! Then the article comes out the day before the game with the coach in the middle of a smith rack whis players around him reading "NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK READY FOR DUNBAR"!!!!! PHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! They were so mad that I/we all knew they were in big trouble come high noon saturday. Travis kept his foot on the gas like he was suppose to, they beat them fair, square and physicaly. Not in poor taste or low class but to prove a point, don't talk about what you think you may can do, find out what it is that you do well and do that. How dare you call them out like that!! You provided the fuel for your own barn burning. Coach Holland is my man and im happy for what he is doing up there but he knows that he learned a lesson for years to come an he will not make that mistake again.

    Again I say....Different time period...Different Animal.....

I think Dunbar will be successful in the 2A but if they do not continue to win state championships it could have a impact on the program.....

Kids Come to Dunbar to be a part of that winning tradition and that means they want to win states.....

2A= More Competition= Less State Championships = Less Talent Coming In = Potential Problem

Dunbar will come into 2A next year and be the most talented team from day 1. Now does this mean they will win next year, no. Out of all the publics in the finals this year, I believe Dunbar easily had the most talent. Coleman Blackston next year is going to be insane!!!
