Default Towson (Stoneleigh) police chase with shots fired

    http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/mar...,2386586.story

This punk is lucky to be alive. Sounds like the cop is as well. Good job officer.

After stopping, the driver in the minivan reversed and rammed into the front of the police car while the officer was still inside, then drove off toward Stoneleigh Road, according to police reports.

The officer was able to pursue the minivan. While in pursuit, police confirmed that the Caravan was stolen from Baltimore City. Reports said the driver of the minivan pulled into a driveway in the 6700 block of Maxalea Road, then rammed the police car again. The officer was able to get out of his vehicle and attempted to place the driver under arrest, but the driver tried to run over the officer, police said. The officer fired his service weapon several times, and had to dive out of the way to avoid being struck by the minivan, according to the report.

The driver sped away, but crashed the minivan into a parked car in front of the 6700 block of Maxalea Road. He then fled on foot, and a county K-9 unit tracked him down in a shed in the backyard of a house in the 6900 block of Sherwood Road, police said.

Do they have lead paint in that neighborhood?
Bad Baltimore County schools to blame?
No free pools in the county?
    not enough rec centers?

Ohh I think I found out why, on case search the year he was born his mom Ayesha Khajida was taking her baby daddy to court with a paternity suit.
Maybe he will have his first fathers day quality time with dad if he's lucky enough to get sent off to the same prison as his pops.

    Maybe because he's a thug.

Dude, that's a symptom, not a sentence. Just last evening a young man (22) stopped by who had a paternity suit filed on his behalf when he was young. He was coming back from the mall where he bought some clothes for a second job he was starting, and then he left to go home to his wife and baby.

Just because someone has had a paternity suit filed on his behalf doesn't guarantee thugness.

How much do you know about Antonio Green's parents? Do you know for certain his father is incarcerated?

His dads not in prison now

    http://www.dpscs.state.md.us/inmate/

But he has been convicted of armed robbery, assault, CDC distribution in the past so son is turning out to be just like dad

stats are overwhelming, it's not just a symptom. Despite what the NAACP would lead you to believe since they don't want to touch the subject, dads are more important than free pools and rec centers

    Genghiskahnraven--

You said he was a thug because his mother filed a paternity suit. Period. Apparently, every child for whom a paternity suit is filed will be a thug in your view. That is not the case.

How do know Antonio has never spent a father's day with his father?

Yes, children need their parents. That's why my friend, who grew up in foster care, didn't want any baby daddy/baby mama nonsense; he married the mother of his child before his daughter was born.

you posted the case search so I noticed the obligatory paternity filing by the kids mom against baby daddy. From that case search its one step away to see his dad dealt (or still deals) drugs, assaulted people, robbed, resisted arrest like his son, and did this stuff carrying an illegal handgun.

My post was figuratively not meant that he literally never spent a single day with his son, but really Matt is it such a leap to say the kids dad probably wasn't around to raise his son and certainly wasn't a good father figure for him to emulate?
I don't need to personally know the 5 guys on death row in Maryland to take an educated guess that they all came from an f'ed home

Really and truly if this guy is convicted on the various charges as an adult, what type of time is he looking at?

Don't be surprised to see a less than a 5 year term, less parole time.

His big mistake was driving a 1/2 mile north instead of driving a 1/2 mile south into the city. In the city you can get PBJ for attempted murder.
The thugs lawyer won't be able to negotiate a ridicules plea because they have the right to a city jury trial as their ace in the hole.

The other factor is cops are treated differently then the rest of us citizens, the courts don't go easy on thugs when the f with the police. I don't disagree with this because if thugs think they can try to kill a cop and either get away with it or walk in a few years if caught we are in big trouble and will embolden them even more.. I'm guessing the kid gets at least 10 years (hopefully)

Thanks for your thoughts. He still has a tough road ahead of him, but his heart is in the right place.

Funny. Kevin Kounty Executive Kamenetz was all over Towson blaming the bar owner when the yutes when wild a few months ago. But has nothing to say about all of the real violence in the area.

I remember when Stoneleigh AND the surrounding areas of Towson were beautiful, upper middle-class neighborhoods. Sad state of affairs when you see this kind of crap penetrating these areas. The cancer is spreading.
