The cops destroyed his house just as he feared. They also have cops guarding his house. What a waste... http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2012/1...f-with-police/
And more gun charges as well.
Possession of an unregistered Class III weapon (a sawed-off shotgun) is a felony itself, separate from any prohibition against a convict possessing a firearm.
Possessing an unregistered sawed-off (short-barreled) shotgun is a violation of the National Firearms Act, and it carries a 10 year federal prison sentence.
This won't end well for him.
Unfortunately, it is his own damn fault for being such big mouth, he is intelligent enough to have know better.
And, this is not the first time he provoked a police response. Do we remember that escapade at the impound lot where he got himself arrested for aggressively video recording his interaction with the clerks?
I'd be surprised if it was that many. MacArthur has demonstrated himself to be quite the exaggerator (and that's putting it kindly).
Besides, he escalated the situation by not turning himself in. As far as I'm concerned, he's the one causing taxpayer resources to be wasted.

OMG! This is too funny.
Citizen journalism and the webcast of a police standoff in Baltimore
Roland Martin is indeed a journalist and respected political commentator. He offers news and his professional insight on Presidential elections, fiscal cliff negotiations and the political dynamics/implications/repercussion of issues as they make their way through the three branches of our governemnt. Now here's David Zurawik, who offers his opinions on vital issues facing the Nation like last weeks episode of Honey Boo Boo, saying Roland Martin is not a Journalist. I laughed so hard I damn near pissed myself.I don't consider Martin a journalist. But he rubs shoulders with journalists onscreen in his job at CNN.
If Roland Martin is not a real journalist then David Zurawik needs to get a real job. Possibly driving a taxi cab where his musings on TV Shows will get him big tips or demands to shut up and drive.
As though police are just going to let someone stroll up. The cops didn't tear the doors, but I would like to know why the window was broken. Here's one of Martin's tweets: "Why won't a friend of @BaltoSpectator come by to help him out, as opposed to the cops tearing the doors to arrest him."

Here's the latest Case Search record for him, although they spell his last name McArthur. Why can't Case Search have a consistent, correct name for this character?
He'll be spending Christmas and New Year's Day in the lockup. He's being held without bond. He'd be home if they hadn't found guns in his house.

At a lively Central Booking hearing, a Baltimore judge denied bail to Frank James MacArthur, the local blogger who live-streamed a standoff with police on the Internet, two days after a different judge ordered him to be released.
MacArthur, 47, appeared Wednesday dressed in a yellow jumpsuit, his head shaved and his hands cuffed behind his back. District Judge Joan B. Gordon pointed to MacArthur's criminal history and apparent "violent and assaultive nature" as reasons for denying bail on gun charges filed against him late Monday.

his head shaved? LOL
Maybe if they weren't NFA firearms. But a SBS (sawed off shotgun) is a special case that WILL get him the attention he deserves.
A simple search of convicted felons in possession of an unregistered NFA firearm reveals that the average sentence is 4 years (max is 10 years), and it never goes unpunished. It's a Federal crime, and the Feds don't play.

In 2008, a police officer on the 4300 block of Old York Road noticed MacArthur walking around in a black bandanna with a Russian SKS-45 semi-automatic rifle and bayonet slung over his shoulder. MacArthur told the officer that he was going after some kids who broke into his car, court records show.
He was charged with unlawfully carrying a rifle on a public city street and carrying a dangerous weapon with the intent and purpose of causing injury. From central booking, he called [Larry] Young's radio show to protest. He soon took to his blog to rant, and prosecutor Kurt Nachtman subpoenaed blog entries and other postings. Nachtman perceived the postings as threatening, he said last week.

That sounds like he should have been locked up a long time ago.
http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/mar...,1913030.storyMacArthur remains in jail without bail awaiting a preliminary hearing next month. Born in 1975, he grew up a typical teen in Montgomery County and hung out at Barry's Magic Shop, a famous Washington, D.C., institution. He went to community college and joined the Marines briefly, sister Jean Arthur said.
He was born in in 75??? Damn, he must've had a rough life...he's a year younger than me, but looks like he could be my uncle or something...
MM--
I think he was born in 65, but some court records have it as 75.
Court records and other official documents list his name as MacArthur or McArthur with birthdays as either 1965 or 1975 — discrepancies his family said prove the court notification system can't be trusted.
