How dare people who are paid at or below the minimum wage need welfare.

They don't need welfare (you on the other hand should be paying from your own pockets for your feral human pets).

The funny part is that when they start becoming uppity and demanding 'minimum wage' or a 'livable wage' (aka someone else paying for their craptastic lifestyle choices), they will be dropped in the same way that those whom they replaced were dropped. The skillset required is minimal and the supply, just over yonder, of those that are willing to work for the wages offered is large.

Perhaps they should get a better job. I think the minimum wage should be raised and then put some serious cuts on welfare.

What's a far minimum wage without reducing the workforce? Because we know that would come after a wage increase if its to high.

What type of cuts would you suggest to the welfare program? Would you set terms on how long one can collect?

Cutting welfare significnatly could be done with three rather simple policy steps: raise the minimum wage, restore public housing, and eliminate bans on small animal husbandry (i.e., allow people to keep chickens, turkeys, pigs).

That is an absurd fallacy. So long as labor markets that thrive on below minimum wage work are allowed to exist, they will generate poverty.

The only person to blame for collecting minimum wage is the person collecting that pay check.

Not much else out there. Even if the fast food joints raised wages, they'd also raise the cost of the food.

No. As long as the povs keep making craptastic lifestyle choices and are coddled (receive existence and consumption entitlements), poverty will exist and expand. Being poor should not be an excuse to crap out spawn that one can't pay for with one's own work product.
